Will Catholics go to hell?

Will Catholics go to hell? And is it true that in Islam, if you take them and Jews as friends, you will go to hell as well?

Every religion has the same concept of saved people, which only people from this religion who will go to heaven. Religion "A" believe that only follower of religion "A" who will go to heaven. Religion "B" believe that only follower of religion "B" who will go to heaven. Religion "C", "D", "E", etc, have same belief too.

I'm Muslim, live in Muslim majority country, but few of my friends are non-Muslims including Catholics (I also studied in Catholic elementary school). I don't see anything wrong with it because I be friend with non-Muslims only in muamalah (non worship matter), not in ibadah (worship matter). I often go to mosque with my Muslim friends and pray together, but I never went to mosque or church with my non-Muslim friends and pray together.

Friendship between Muslim and non-Muslim is allowed in muamalah matter. They can study together, play together, recreation together, do sport together, etc. But not allowed to do something that related to worship (ibadah) together.

Nobody knows the answer save Allah. What we know is a matter of deduction from the available literature or interpretations.

What is commonly believed is that nothing syirk will be tolerated by Allah and the Christians already indulge in syirk (belief in the trinity). However, that is not to say that they 'heart' is not in the right place, like charity. The Jews, they believe in monotheism (Allah likes that) but have no charity in their hearts....

I'm not sure about going to hell for taking Jews as friends, but what it is trying to say is that they cannot be depended upon as friends or ally, like the time of the prophet (pbuh) when the Jews kept playing him out when they were called to honor their pledge.

It was/ is a must for people to accept the Prophets sent to them by God Almighty . Thus after coming of the last Prophet , it's a must now for all to accept Prophet Muhammed peace be upon him and his teaching that he got through angel Gabrial . People who came before the time of last Prophet , if they worshipped one God only will go to heaven by the will of God Almighty . Here is the related verse


{Those who believe [in the Quran], and those who follow the Jewish [scriptures], and the Christians and the Sabians,—any who believe in God and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.} (Al-Baqarah 2:62)


God Almighty sent His last messenger for all . So, people must accept him as last Prophet and believe that Quran is His final testament , Islam is His chosen religion .


few verses from holy Quran :




"This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion". (Surah Al-Ma'idah 5:3)



"If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah (God) never will It be accepted of Him"

(Surah Aal'imraan 3:85)



And whoever brings an evil (deed) (i.e. shirk polytheism, disbelief in the Oneness of Allah and every evil sinful deed), they will be cast down (prone) on their faces in the Fire. (And it will be said to them) "Are you being recompensed anything except what you used to do?"

yes catholics will go to hell as ALlah makes that very clear in Quran; those who say 'trinity' go to hell! :Emoji29:

however we dont judge their hearts, hence apperantly they go to hell [and we treat them as such, such as do not pray for them after they die etc] and we leave the 'certainty' to ALlah as some of them may not have heard about Islam!

what is meant by not to take jews and christians as friends is not to take them as close friends; we can take them as 'buddies' and 'pals' etc, but not as bosom buddies! :Emoji51:
