Will I need to repent for this?

A sister sent me a message saying that she was praying for me and I thought to respond with "Alhamdulillah." I immediately thought this must be wrong and said astaghfirullah. Will I be punished for this?

There was nothing wrong in what you said. It is good to say Alhamdulillah in response to her.
