wisdom tooth...its hurting real bad.....

any prescription apart from paracetamol or nurofen....

anybody been thru this before?....how long does it take to grow?...have any idea?

Have you seen the dentist?
It may be that your wisdom tooth doesn't have enough space and is causing trouble ...

To deal with the acute pain at the moment, try these two things:
- Clove oil (from chemist), put a couple of drops of a clean cloth and bite on it with your painful tooth
- Rub an ice cube on the webby area between your thumb and index finger.

(I haven't tried either of those myself, but my husband recommends them)

oh yeah...DEntist.......never thougt about it.....lol....

Sister, try this BRUFEN. It's for pain , etc.
If the pain still don't go away then better consult a dentist.

Poor you!! .. I know how sharp that pain can be!! :heated:

My first one, was the worst , I could'nt keep my eyes open, I had to sleep the pain off!!
but alhamdulillah, I did'nt feel a thing when the rest of them started to grow, it was quite fun observin' their growth day by day!!

.. Try that Clove Oil, It's really good.

If they are causing lots of pain, they could be impacted which means that they wont grow out of the gum properly and will push into other teeth. I had to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth out for that reason. A dentist might take xrays to see if thats the case. From what I can gather, you dont need the wisdom teeth so having them removed, although is a bit painful, wont do you any harm.
