brothers and sisters asalamalaikum warahmatullah hai wabara katuhoo.

i just want to ask that when one breaks his wudu by passing wind, do you have to perform the whole wudu again including washing your privates etc?

i heard from someone that if you have no doubts that when u passed wind nothing else followed it such as excrement then u just do a partial wudu (everything except from washing private parts).

also brothers and sisters isit true if you lean against something your wudu breaks??

jazakallah khair!

:sl: brother.

Yes.

But there is no such thing as a partial wudhu and a full wudhu, distinguished on the basis of whether the privates are washed or not.

There is only one type of wudhu taught by Rasoolullah :saws:, which involves washing the hands, rinsing the mouth, rinsing the nose, washing the face, washing the arms from the fingertips to the elbows, wiping over the head, cleaning ears, and washing the feet upto the ankles.

Washing the private parts is not part of wudhu. Privates are washed in istinjaa (washing your private parts after urination/defaecation), or in ghusl.

You mean when you are awake? No, not true.

If you passed only wind and nothing else, then no.
