Asalam Alaikum
I am very happy to have found this forum!
I have been married to a Muslim for 14 years, Mashallah and it hasn't been until this past year that I have accepted Islam. He never pushed me towards it saying that if it's Allahs will, I will become one in my own time.
Well low and behold, that time had finally come. I can't say what it was exactly that made me wake up exactly. We have had a tough two years with certain things in our life and I have found myself "needing" God. As I felt that I needed to pray and strengthen my faith, it was Islam that I automatically went towards. When I felt the need to pray, I wanted to get on the ground and worship Allah. It just felt so natural all of a sudden. So, even though I have been learning a lot from my husband and reding throughout the years there is still so much to learn Inshallah! I hope to gain some better insight here amongst you all as well. I am particulary interested in learning more about the Hadiths and and the role and interpretation of womens roles in Islam as well as general survival in todays world as a Muslim. (Especially in the States!)
Right now I am a stay at home Mom of three beautiful girls (9,8 and6) so I also want to be a good role model for them!
I look forward to meeting and chatting with you all, Inshallah.
