You Don't Lower your Gaze
Staring at a buffed up - younger person, old age, in a 'pervert' way - some old people do..? dno if anyones ever seen or noticed this.
But if someone does, u be like 'ughhhh'.. and u want them to look away, and thats cuz da person proli did it wen they was younga alot.. but.. u dno hw much dey wud give 2 get youth again..
Be better then dat - onli luk at da ryt thing, at da ryt time.. it makes u mo stronga and respected infront of the people. How many times hav people been lukin at someone or something they shudn't hav, n wen otha ppl notice that you doin that - the person becomes embarassed at wa dey'v dn, so dey quikly luk away.
No matter how beautiful u think u r.. there will be beautiful people after u, and they will take your place. You wont be beautiful any longer, just an old crippled person who stares at people - wishing you were young again - while they give you the disgusting look in the eyes. You wont be able to impress, and they will be wanting to impress some other person who was just like you, not knowing that you were the exact person everyone was after... was it really worth it? Did u ever really get to continue a relationship which u truly loved? Or did u think u wud pick up someone else cuz time was runnin out too quick? Did you know that people loved u at first for who you were? Then others loved you because you pretended to be someone else, so you played there game - but this love wasn't love, it was just lust...
You never really found a true love like the first one.. cuz your harshness and buffed up attitude made you ugly, cuz u wasn't pure no more... you were just like the rest, someone who would say one thing infront of some people, while sayin the total opposite behind their back. No-one really liked you, and even if they did - you hurt them. Look how far that's taken you today. You're just old, death is about to take you at any moment, but you still desire something which has left you, with no-one there to care for you, or to love you.
But the One who loves you, waits for you to return, He is willing to purify you. Make you have that amazing feeling like the beginning, that feeling when you knew things were just right...
There's a true story of a man who was quite old, but he was going up a mountain quite easily in some of the Muslim lands. He was Muslim, and some people who saw him were amazed - he's an old man and he's climbing mountain's so easily? They approached him to ask him how he was so good at this at such an old age. He never said he trained when he was young, or that he was a mountain climber a little while back - no. He said that when i used to be younger, Allah gave me health, and i used it in His obedience, so He has given me health while i am an older man too.
Amazing isn't it? Subhan Allah, if you obey Allah through ease, He will give you good through all sorts of times.
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) had only about 20 white hairs on his head when he passed away, think about it - that's amazing. I can imagine us people getting that much by the time when we're 30 cuz of all the little things we stress over, he was 63 when he passed away (peace be upon him)! And he went through more than you can imagine in his lifetime.
Ibn al Qayyim also explains that if we use something for the sake of Allah, He will strengthen that for us (and the exact opposite is that if we use something for evil, it will cause harm to us) - for example if you use your wealth for Allah's sake, He will give you more in return, if you use your body for Allah's sake - He will make your body stronger, if you use your honor for Allah's sake - then He will give you more honor. It might take a little time to see the positive affects of these things, but you will see them insha Allah. If you still don't, then know that there's something even greater for you in the hereafter.
So try it, if you can't totally enjoy what your mates are doing right now in the present - then stay patient, cuz when they get all old and cripply, you'll still be agile, running about and climbing mountains, insha Allah!
