Have any of you been to Saudi Arabia to do Umrah or Hajj??
If you have had any events that happened to you please post them if you want to.

I've just recently came back from a two week trip to do Umrah. It was really fascinating seeing the 2 Holy Mosques and the Kabah for the 1st time. It was really cool to hear the recitors in person. I liked it when you could hear the adhan from the hotel.

Well when I was in Medina, in Masjid an nabawi, the Arab women picked me up and called me a princess. :sister: :sister: :sister:
..and the second time was 4years ago. :sister:
I don't think any major event took place obviously apart from seeing the haramain sharifayn . That was amazing. It's too good to be decribed in words. You have to experience it yourself insha'Allah.
Jazakallah sister for your stories. I also intend to go soon if I can.

Yep, alhamdulillah I have gone for Hajj.. This past yr and in 2001.. Yeh, the Masjid Al Haram does have a powerful and kinda intimdating feel to it. And the closer you get to the Kaabah you just feel like melting. Its truly amazing mashaAllah. :'( And so is walking around the area where the dome is in Masjid Al Nabawi.. When you actually walk in there you just wanna cry that you never got to be here when Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) was there. :'(

Our Lord! Verily, we have heard the call of one calling to Faith: 'Believe in your Lord,' and we have believed.
Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and expiate from us our evil deeds, and make us die (in the state of righteousness) along with Al-Abrar
but the things that happen in hajj...those stories of men touching the women during tawaf and women stealing gold
SubhanAllah if ur not going to fear Allah in his house....then ur quite shameless and are capeable of doing any wrong anywhere else.
My heart, so precious,

well when some women are doing tawaaf they get some problems
the problems is confusing. they are `touched` and by the time they turn around to see what that was...the man has gone straight ahead
