The struggle against terrorism cannot be won by military means. The G8 must seize the opportunity to address the wider issues at the root of such atrocities.
Osama bin Laden is no more a true representative of Islam than General Mladic, who commanded the Serbian forces, could be held up as an example of Christianity. After all, it is written in the Qur'an that we were made into different peoples not that we might despise each other, but that we might understand each other.

Bin Laden was, though, a product of a monumental miscalculation by western security agencies. Throughout the 80s he was armed by the CIA and funded by the Saudis to wage jihad against the Russian occupation of Afghanistan. Al-Qaida, literally "the database", was originally the computer file of the thousands of mujahideen who were recruited and trained with help from the CIA to defeat the Russians. Inexplicably, and with disastrous consequences, it never appears to have occurred to Washington that once Russia was out of the way, Bin Laden's organisation would turn its attention to the west.

We need to stop looking at the bullets and find out who holds the gun including those that empower them.
    - The Saudi Monarchy, a monarchy is Haram in Islam, have been peddling a distorted form of Islam for some time which is used by extremists to justify their Haram actions such killing innocent Muslims and Non-Muslims in the name of God. If the extremists are tied to Saudi then they gain more political power.
    - The Largest arms manufacturers are US and UK. Their number 1 customer appears to be Saudi. Where are these weapons and what is their intended use? It's a question worth finding an answer to.

So the fault for the rise in terrorism and their power not only lies with the distorted form of Islam they use as an excuse to commit their unjust actions but also because the leaders in the west have empowered them.

The Saudi's are buying up weapons to protect themselves from the West. The West wouldn't care if Attila the Hun was running the country as long as they can make big profits.

If that was true why would the West sell weapons to them themselves? Why sell weapons to someone who will use it as a weapon against you? Only explanation is the West does not perceive any threat from their chums the Saudis.

The USA owns all the rights, drilling and refining gear, the Saudis just get a percentage of the oil revenues. The weapons the West sells are just expensive toys. USA has thermonuclear, chemical, biological and conventional weapons far superior to those that it sells and so does the UK. The West has no friends, look what happened to Sadam Hussein and Gadhafi. If Saudi wanted to go totally independent of the West the propaganda war would start "women's rights" "human rights" "freedom and democracy". The country would be bombed and the Royal family slaughtered and a pro Western despot would be installed with rigged elections and corporate America and re education of the masses and cultural Marxism would be in. Islam as you know it would be gone, modernized to Zionist standards and totally destroyed like Christendom is.

I agree that the US would turn on Saudis if they stopped supplying however Saudi has no intention of stopping this alliance like Sadam. I know of a Brother who once worked in the Saudi Royal residences as a servant and he said not a room was free of Alcahol. Sadam wanted whats good for the Ummah in his later life but Saudis are too deep in; infact I posted the other day that Saudi's have huge investments in the Wests Usury based system. If they were sincere in wanting to defend or help the Ummah for the better then they would first need to remove these ties and it appears that they have no intention of doing this.

Out of the many the two main reasons for the Invasion of Iraq are listed below:

    1) Sadam was going to weaken the dollar and sell using Euros.

"Baghdad's switch from the dollar to the euro for oil trading is intended to rebuke Washington's hard-line on sanctions and encourage Europeans to challenge it. But the political message will cost Iraq millions in lost revenue. RFE/RL correspondent Charles Recknagel looks at what Baghdad will gain and lose, and the impact of the decision to go with the European currency."

"The real reason the Bush administration wants a puppet government in Iraq - or more importantly, the reason why the corporate-military-industrial network conglomerate wants a puppet government in Iraq - is so that it will revert back to a dollar standard and stay that way." (While also hoping to veto any wider OPEC momentum towards the euro, especially from Iran - the 2nd largest OPEC producer who is actively discussing a switch to euros for its oil exports).

Furthermore, despite Saudi Arabia being our 'client state,' the Saudi regime appears increasingly weak/ threatened from massive civil unrest. Some analysts believe a "Saudi Revolution" might be plausible in the aftermath of an unpopular U.S. invasion of Iraq (ie. Iran circa 1979) (1). Undoubtedly, the Bush administration is acutely aware of these risks. Hence, the neo conservative framework entails a large and permanent military presence in the Persian Gulf region in a post Saddam era, just in case we need to surround and grab Saudi's oil fields in the event of a coup by an anti-western group. But first back to Iraq.

"Saddam sealed his fate when he decided to switch to the euro in late 2000 (and later converted his $10 billion reserve fund at the U.N. to euros) - at that point, another manufactured Gulf War become inevitable under Bush II. Only the most extreme circumstances could possibly stop that now and I strongly doubt anything can - short of Saddam getting replaced with a pliant regime."

    http://www.rense.com/general34/realre.htm

    2) It was Saudis who wanted and provided land for USA to attack Iraq; this is the nature of these hypocrites. It's not the first time they called on the West to help kill Muslims. Infact I was showing this image the other day:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Mosque_seizure
Saudi allowed Non-Muslims to enter Holy Land for their protection. Does this not clearly show where their trust and alliances are?

One of the West's main concerns was the significant threat Iraq posed to Saudi Arabia. Following Kuwait's conquest, the Iraqi Army was within easy striking distance of Saudi oil fields. Control of these fields, along with Kuwaiti and Iraqi reserves, would have given Saddam control over the majority of the world's oil reserves. Iraq also had a number of grievances with Saudi Arabia. The Saudis had lent Iraq some 26 billion dollars during its war with Iran. The Saudis had backed Iraq in that war, as they feared the influence of Shia Iran's Islamic revolution on its own Shia minority. After the war, Saddam felt he shouldn't have to repay the loans due to the help he had given the Saudis by fighting Iran.

Soon after his conquest of Kuwait, Saddam began verbally attacking the Saudis. He argued that the U.S.-supported Saudi state was an illegitimate and unworthy guardian of the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.

    More here:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulf_War
^ I agree with Sadam. Though he did many wrongs I admire him for standing against ZOG and wanting to better the Ummah.

    3) Referring to your post in another thread, Saudi aren't the closest thing to a caliphate because no one gave them bayat and they usurped power from Muslim lands unjustly; just as ISIS is doing now. These are hypocrites who are destroying the Ummah from within and it's not the first time we have transgressors ruling the Haraam. Infact soon after the death Of Mohammad(SAW) the Holy lands were under seige by yazeeds army, who is a fasiq according to the Ijma of the scholars, and the Saudis respect him in order to legitimize their corruption. They want to fool the Muslims into believing that whoever rules the Haraam is chosen by Allah Most High so they praise Yazeed who is a fasiq. They fool no one but a few who know not. Under the command of Yazeed a Prince of Jannah and his family were executed and Sahabas were killed in Mecca; they laid seige even during Hajj!

Even the Black stone was stolen at one stage; this shows how weak the Ummah has been at times defending against corrupt groups that enter the Haraam:
The Stone has suffered desecrations and significant damage over the centuries. It is said to have been struck and smashed to pieces by a stone fired from a catapult during the Umayyad siege of Mecca in 683. The fragments were rejoined by Abd Allah ibn Zubayr using a silver ligament.[19] In January 930 it was stolen by the Qarmatians, who carried the Black Stone away to their base in Hajar (modern Bahrain). According to Ottoman historian Qutb al-Din, writing in 1857, Qarmatian leader Abu Tahir al-Qarmati set the Black Stone up in his own mosque, the Masjid al-Dirar, with the intention of redirecting the hajj away from Mecca. However, this failed, and pilgrims continued to venerate the spot where the Black Stone had been.[20]
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Stone
So no weight is given for being the custodian of Haraam. In the wise words of Salman Al-Farsi(RA) -It is not the land that makes us Holy, but our actions for the Pleasure of Allah Most High that.
And also you might as well put Mcdonalds on top of the Kabah because believe me the zamzam clock tower is just as distracting.

Sami Angawi, the director of the Hajj Research Center which is trying to preserve what’s left of the Islamic heritage of Saudi Arabia says of the Saudi state:
“They are turning the holy sanctuary into a machine, a city which has no identity, no heritage, no culture and no natural environment. They've even taken away the mountains.”

    By*ROBERT FISK
    Monday 06 December 1993

OSAMA Bin Laden sat in his gold- fringed robe, guarded by the loyal Arab mujahedin who fought alongside him in Afghanistan. Bearded, taciturn figures - unarmed, but never more than a few yards from the man who recruited them, trained them and then dispatched them to destroy the Soviet army - they watched unsmiling as the Sudanese villagers of Almatig lined up to thank the Saudi businessman who is about to complete the highway linking their homes to Khartoum for the first time in history.

With his high cheekbones, narrow eyes and long brown robe, Mr Bin Laden looks every inch the mountain warrior of mujahedin legend. Chadored children danced in front of him, preachers acknowledged his wisdom. 'We have been waiting for this road through all the revolutions in Sudan,' a sheikh said. 'We waited until we had given up on everybody - and then Osama Bin Laden came along.'

Ummat: You have been accused of involvement in the attacks in New York and Washington. What do you want to say about this? If you are not involved, who might be?

Usamah [Osama bin Laden]: In the name of Allah, the most beneficent, the most merciful. Praise be to Allah, Who is the creator of the whole universe and Who made the earth as an abode for peace, for the whole mankind. Allah is the Sustainer, who sent Prophet Muhammad for our guidance.
I am thankful to the Ummat Group of Publications, which gave me the opportunity to convey my viewpoint to the people, particularly the valiant and Momin true Muslim people of Pakistan who refused to believe in lie of the demon.

I have already said that I am not involved in the 11 September attacks in the United States. As a Muslim, I try my best to avoid telling a lie. I had no knowledge of these attacks, nor do I consider the killing of innocent women, children, and other humans as an appreciable act. Islam strictly forbids causing harm to innocent women, children, and other people.Such a practice is forbidden ever in the course of a battle.

*It is the United States, which is perpetrating every maltreatment on women, children, and common people of other faiths, particularly the followers of Islam.
All that is going on in Palestine for the last 11 months is sufficient to call the wrath of God upon the United States and Israel. There is also a warning for those Muslim countries, which witnessed all these as a silent spectator. What had earlier been done to the innocent people of Iraq, Chechnya, and Bosnia?
Only one conclusion could be derived from the indifference of the United States and the West to these acts of terror and the patronage of the tyrants by these powers that America is an anti-Islamic power and it is patronizing the anti-Islamic forces.

Its friendship with the Muslim countries is just a show, rather deceit. By enticing or intimidating these countries, the United States is forcing them to play a role of its choice.

Put a glance all around and you will see that the slaves of the United States are either rulers or enemies of Muslims .

The US has no friends, nor does it want to keep any because the prerequisite of friendship is to come to the level of the friend or consider him at par with you. America does not want to see anyone equal to it. It expects slavery from others. Therefore, other countries are either its slaves or subordinates.

However, our case is different. We have pledged slavery to God Almighty alone and after this pledge there is no possibility to become the slave of someone else. If we do that, it will be disregardful to both our Sustainer and his fellow beings. Most of the world nations upholding their freedom are the religious ones, which are the enemies of United States, or the latter itself considers them as its enemies. Or the countries, which do not agree to become its slaves, such as China, Iran, Libya, Cuba, Syria, and the former Russia as received .

Whoever committed the act of 11 September are not the friends of the American people. I have already said that we are against the American system, not against its people, whereas in these attacks, the common American people have been killed....

.... Then there are intelligence agencies in the US, which require billions of dollars worth of funds from the Congress and the government every year. This funding issue was not a big problem till the existence of the former Soviet Union but after that the budget of these agencies has been in danger.

They needed an enemy. So, they first started propaganda against Usamah and Taleban and then this incident happened. You see, the Bush administration approved a budget of 40bn dollars. Where will this huge amount go? It will be provided to the same agencies, which need huge funds and want to exert their importance.

Now they will spend the money for their expansion and for increasing their importance. I will give you an example. Drug smugglers from all over the world are in contact with the US secret agencies. These agencies do not want to eradicate narcotics cultivation and trafficking because their importance will be diminished. The people in the US Drug Enforcement Department are encouraging drug trade so that they could show performance and get millions of dollars worth of budget.
General Noriega was made a drug baron by the CIA and, in need, he was made a scapegoat. In the same way, whether it is President Bush or any other US president, they cannot bring Israel to justice for its human rights abuses or to hold it accountable for such crimes. What is this?
Is it not that there exists a government within the government in the United Sates? That secret government must be asked as to who made the attacks.

Saddam condemns US "aggression" on Afghanistan

    *Monday October 8, 5:46 AM*BAGHDAD, Oct 7 2001 (AFP)

    - Iraqi President Saddam Hussein condemned Sunday's US-led "aggression" against Afghanistan, saying it fell outside international law, state television reported.

*"The true believers cannot but condemn this act, not because it has been committed by America against a Muslim people but because it is an aggression perpetrated outside international law," said a statement read out on state television after Saddam chaired a meeting of his closest aides.

*"These methods will bring only greater instability and disorder in the world," said the statement.
*"The American aggression could spread to other countries," it warned.*
Vice President Taha Yassin Ramadan and Deputy Prime Minister Tareq Aziz and Hikmat al-Azzawi were among those at the meeting.*
Saddam, whose regime has been under UN sanctions since invading Kuwait in 1990, is the sole Arab leader not to have condemned the September 11 terror attacks on the United States.
*US and British warplanes regularly bomb Iraq as part of a policy of containment.*

MEET OBAMA’S FOREIGN POLICY BRAIN: ZBIGNIEW BRZEZINSKI

Obama foreign policy advisor sanctioned creation and support of militant Islam tied to al-Qaeda

Apparent Democratic party presidential front-runner and supposed anti-war candidate Barack Obama has obtained the endorsement of and foreign policy advice of Zbigniew Brzezinski, who once endorsed the creation and support of militant Islamic forces in Afghanistan, that were directed by accused 9/11 mastermind Osama Bin Laden.

Brzezinski has admitted to the provocation of a Soviet-Afghan war that claimed the lives of 1 million people in Afghanistan during the 1980′s. Brzezinski also sanctioned the support of a southeast Asian regime that claimed the lives of up to 2 million during the 1970′s, through execution, starvation and forced labor.

Obama Adviser Leads Delegation To Damascus

    Eli LakeNew York Sun*Posted: 03/28/08 02:45 AM ET*Updated: 05/25/11 12:25 PM ETA

A foreign policy adviser to Senator Obama is scheduled to arrive in Syria today as the leader of a RAND Corp. delegation.
Zbigniew Brzezinski will travel to Damascus for meetings as part of a trip Syria's official Cham News agency described as an "important sign that the end of official dialogue between Washington and Damascus has not prevented dialogue with important American intellectuals and politicians."

An assistant to Mr. Brzezinski, Trudy Werner, told The New York Sun yesterday:

REPORT: The US Is Openly Sending Heavy Weapons From Libya ...

The*Obama*administration has decided to launch a covert operation to send ... The heavy*arms*include mortars, rocket propelled ... integral to countering*Bashar*Al-Assad's*bombing campaign.

The Obama administration has decided to launch a covert operation to send heavy weapons to Syrian rebels,*Christina Lamb of The Sunday Times of London reports.

Diplomatic sources told the Sunday Times that the U.S. "bought weapons from*the stockpiles of Libya's former dictator Muammar Gaddafi."

The heavy arms include mortars, rocket propelled grenades, anti-tank missiles and the controversial anti-aircraft heat-seeking*SA-7 missiles, which are integral to countering Bashar Al-Assad's bombing campaign.
Many have suspected that the US was already involved in sending heavy arms.

The administration has said that the*previously hidden CIA operation in Benghazi*involved finding, repurchasing and destroying heavy weaponry looted from Libyan government arsenals, but in October we reported evidence indicating that U.S. agents —*particularly murdered ambassador Chris Stevens*— were at least aware of heavy weapons moving from Libya to jihadist Syrian rebels.*

There have been*several possible SA-7 spottings*in Syria dating as far back as early summer 2012, and there are indications that at least some of Gaddafi's 20,000 portable heat-seeking missiles were shipped before now.

On Sept. 6*a Libyan ship carrying 400 tons of weapons*for Syrian rebels*docked in southern Turkey.*The ship's captain was*"a Libyan from Benghazi" who worked for the new Libyan government. The*man who*organized*that shipment,*Tripoli Military Council head*Abdelhakim Belhadj,*worked directly*with Stevens during the Libyan revolution.
Stevens' last meeting on Sept. 11 was with Turkish Consul*General Ali Sait Akin,*and*a source told Fox News*that*Stevens was in Benghazi "to*negotiate a weapons transfer in an effort to get SA-7 missiles out of the hands of Libya-based extremists.

Last month*The Wall Street Journal reported*that*the State Department presence*in Benghazi "provided diplomatic cover" for the*now-exposed CIA annex. It follows that the*"weapons transfer" that Stevens negotiated may have involved sending heavy weapons recovered by the CIA to the revolutionaries in Syria.

Thing is, Brzezinski was old skool, i mean from before the days of internet, when there wasn't a global audience and they could deceive people from behind a body of lies.

These days, the 15 year old spectator often sees through the double bluffs more clearly than a polished diplomat could 30 years ago - simply because he can experience and analyze 100 times the amount of such maneuvering while sitting at a desk - totally detached from the bustle and confusion.

    US to punish German 'treachery'

Peter Beaumont,*David Roseand Paul BeaverSunday 16 February 2003*01.55*GMT

America is to punish Germany for leading international opposition to a war against Iraq.
The US will withdraw all its troops and bases from there and end military and industrial co-operation between the two countries - moves that could cost the Germans billions of euros.
The plan - discussed by Pentagon officials and military chiefs last week on the orders of Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld - is designed 'to harm' the German economy to make an example of the country for what US hawks see as Chancellor Gerhard Schröder's 'treachery'.
The hawks believe that making an example of*Germany*will force other countries heavily dependent on US trade to think twice about standing up to America in future.

This follows weeks of increasingly angry exchanges between Rumsfeld and Germany, in which at one point he taunted Germany and France for being an irrelevant part of 'old Europe'.

Now Rumsfeld has decided to go further by unilaterally imposing the Pentagon's sanctions on a country already in the throes of economic problems.
'We are doing this for one reason only: to harm the German economy,' one source told The Observer last week.

Back in the days they could militarily win a war and pacify the masses with the soothing media on which they had a monopoly.
These days winning a war militarily via falsehood, evil and deceit usually means losing the people under one's perceived dominion and creating an opposition of masses that cannot be re-deceived.
A temporary military victory with a permanent authority defeat.

Not to say that brzezinski was unaware, rather he knew very well - as can be seen in this speech, just that he had lived a different theme that he was comfortable in:

Surah 30. The Romans, The Byzantines

1.*A. L. M.2.*The Roman Empire has been defeated
-3.*In a land close by; but they, (even) after (this) defeat of theirs, will soon be victorious
-4.*Within a few years. With Allah is the Decision, in the past and in the Future: on that Day shall the Believers rejoice
-5.*With the help of Allah. He helps whom He will, and He is exalted in might, most merciful.
6.*(It is) the promise of Allah. Never does Allah depart from His promise: but most men understand not.
7.*They know but the outer (things) in the life of this world:
but of the End of things they are heedless.
53.*"Our Lord! we believe in what Thou hast revealed, and we follow the Messenger. then write us down among those who bear witness."
54.*And (the unbelievers) plotted and planned, and Allah too planned, and the best of planners is Allah.
55.*Behold! Allah said: "O Jesus! I will take thee and raise thee to Myself and clear thee (of the falsehoods) of those who blaspheme; I will make those who follow thee superior to those who reject faith, to the Day of Resurrection: Then shall ye all return unto me, and I will judge between you of the matters wherein ye dispute.
Using an evil dinosaur like brezinski who followed a previous modus operandi that appeared to have worked in different incompatible circumstances ensured that they worked in a time zone that didn't quite blend - whereas the guidance of Allah which is founded on truth and justice proved to be eternal.
