We know that the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah are particularly blessed.
One of the things to do is takbeer (Allahu Akbar) and tahleel (La illaha ill-Allah).
There are 3 kinds of takbeer (scholars have differed about which one because there is no specific text from the Prophet, sal Allahu wa alaihi was sallam)
1) *Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, laa illaha ill-Allah, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, wa lillahil-hamd*
2) *Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, laa illaha ill-Allah, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, wa lillahil-hamd*
3) *Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, laa illaha ill-Allah, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, wa lillahil-hamd*
*#* Which one you use is up to you.

Now the best times to make takbeer.
1) Takbeer at any time.
2) Takbeer at specific times.
1) *It is Sunnah to recite Takbeer at any time during the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah and all the days of tashreek (11th, 12th & 13th)*
2) *The specific times to recite takbeer start from Fajr on the day of Arafah (9th) and lasts until the sun sets on the last day of tashreek (13th)*
*These specific times are when one says tasleem at the end of the obligatory prayer. First one should say ‘As-taghfirullah’ 3 times, then one should say ‘Allahumma anta al-salaam wa minka al-salaam tabarakta yaa dhaal Jalali wal ikraam’ and then start the takbeer*
