hello all
My question is if a person is looking to Islam. Where is the best place to start and the best way to learn and understand
I am not sure were the nearest mosque is i have started to read about prayer
i understand that the mosque would be the best place. do i just turn up and make myself known. I live near Liverpool so if anyone is wise in the merseyside area. And the locations of local mosque's i will be greatfull
As for masjids, i dont know liverpool but heres one
Islamic Cultural Centre and Al-Rahma Mosque
Also known as: Liverpool Muslim Society
29-31 Hatherley Street or Hathersley Street (off Mulgrave Street), Toxteth
Liverpool , Merseyside, L8 2TJ
IF you pop in, then hopefully you will find them helpful. Besides from prayer books, what else have you read? many reverts like to read the Quran translation.
Books like this are good, this book explains the pillars of islam and iman and also gives information on how to perform ablution and its rulings, and also prayer and its rulings in a simple manner
May Allah SWT guide you to the truth of islam and make you amongst the believers inshAllah.
Its great to hear that you have started to learn and question more about faith and your best start would be to visit a local islamic centre or masjid and once your reasoning for being there is known you will find that you will be welcomed with great hospitality and wide open arms.
