So I read that it is not permitted to drink, sell or buy Alcohol. (I know this already) but is it permissible to use alcohol for other things other than drinking, etc?
I.e. washing my hands (some liquid containing 60+% alcohol) or use it to clean electronics?
Am I allowed to buy stuff that contain alcohol for other purposes?
This fatwa seems to say that using Alcohol, no matter what, is 100% haram, no matter what.
Meaning of Shirk according to The Qur'an
" Worshipping anyone or anything besides Allah " or " distributing anything exclusive to Allah, to anyone or anything else "
Meaning of Tawheed according to The Qur'an Worshipping none but Allah. Affirming whatever is exclusive to Him, Him alone.
Re: Can I use alcohol for other things other than drinking etc? (is it permissible?)
The prohibition is against, as I understand it, ethanols as a drink, not alcohols the organic compound. There's a big difference between the two and it is only a matter of the english language that "alcohol" refers to both.
