Re: The Three Fundamentals [and Their Proofs]

I will be re-translating this book during Ramadan Inshallah for the people on the forum.
You can find 4 copies of this book here where people have translated it before.
The obviously reasons for re-translating is to have a copy closest to the original text as possible and not just to have a translation for the English readers.
I would like a few of you to check for spelling mistakes and grammar.
Some grammar errors will be ignored due to wanting the text to fit in with the original Arabic text.

    https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resi...t=folder%2cpdf

    The 4 translated copies:

    1) This copy has the full introduction missing and has a different name as stated on page 2.
    2) This copy says it was translated by a team of translated. I first started with this text and found that at times it did not fit with the Arabic text.
    3) This became the English text that was the closest to the original Arabic text and is a very good translation.
    4) I benefit from this text when the text of English text 3 became ambiguous.

Quranic verses were from here: http://legacy.quran.com/ (Sahih International)

    Hadith were from here: http://sunnah.com/

At times Hadith differ in wording due to the wording in the Arabic Text differing from the 6 hadith books.

Re: The Three Fundamentals [and Their Proofs]

    Explanation
    The title:
    1) As you can see the title is written in Arabic. This will allow future translators to correct and improve this copy and to work with this copy with the Arabic if you are studying Arabic as a beginner.
    2) All 4 copies have the title “The Three Fundamental Principles”. ثَلَاْثَةُ is three and الأُصُوْلِ means Fundamentals/ Principles it actually means one or the other it does not mean both at the same time. Hence we have already differed from all other translated copies of this work.
    3) وَأَدِلَّتُهَا do you notice most copies do not have this and the text is actually most commonly know without it. I have actually kept it as it’s from the title in the book [الجامع للمتون العلمية]. However, in English I have add square brackets.

The authors name in Arabic and his birth and death:
    1) These are very important in Arabic and I will always try to add diacritics (vowel marks)

    Draft Copy
    1) It will probably remain like this.

    (By) Muhammadu-bnu abdi-lWahhab:
    1) (by) is not in the Arabic it’s there for ease.
    2) The most common way of writting it on the internet and on books is Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhamm..._Abd_al-Wahhab
    https://islamqa.info/en/36616
    3) Grammatically this is incorrect. Muhammadu-bnu abdi-lWahhab. Do you not see the dammah on the end of Muhammad this needs to be pronounced. Then the (i) is removed. Again the dammah must also to be pronounced on (ibn). Can you also see in (abdi) its karsa and not a fatah this has to be read as an (i) and not as an (a).

    Translated from:
    1) This indicates the version of the Text I am used in Arabic (ie the book name). It actually 2 copies. To verify if there are any differences in text.

Re: The Three Fundamentals [and Their Proofs]

    } بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ {
Know may Allah have mercy on you, truly it is compulsory on us to learn four matters: First: The knowledge: and it is knowing Allah, and knowing His Messenger [(r)] and knowing the religion of Islam, with the proof. Second: The acting upon it (i.e. knowledge). Third: Calling to it. Fourth: Patience with the harm due to it.

And the proof is: His (تَعَالى) saying: { By time, • Indeed, mankind is in loss, • Indeed, mankind is in loss, • Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience. } [Surat Al-`Aşr (The Declining Day):1-3)].

Shaafi’i, may Allah (تَعَالى) have mercy on him, said: “If not Allah send down (as) proof on his creation except this chapter, it would have sufficient for them.”

Al-Bukhaari, may Allah (تَعَالى) have mercy on him, said: “Chapter: The knowledge before the saying and the action. And the proof is: His (تَعَالى) saying: { So know, [O Muhammad], that there is no deity except Allah and ask forgiveness for your sin. } [Surat Muĥammad (Muhammad) :19)]. So (Allah) started with the knowledge before the saying and the action.”Know may Allah have mercy on you, truly it is compulsory on every male and female Muslim to learn these three matters and act upon them:
