This is a list I found of the Mutashabihat of the Quran. This is very useful for Huffaz and students doing Hifz.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem,

As-Salaamu 'Alaykum

I read that, that was what confused me. I thought Mutashabihat were verses which we were not clear, i.e. people cannot know the meaning of.

That's pretty nice to see that though.

Masha'Allaah, a very interesting site, Jazakallaahu khayran. I think Br. Al Habeshi is referring to the other meaning of mutashabihat. The more detailed explanation says,

The word Mutashabihat is used here in the sense understood by the Huffaz, and not in the manner understood in the science of Ulum al-Quran. An ayah which closely resembles another one is called a Mutashabih.
So basically, 'Mutashaabih' has 2 meanings - the first one is 'resembling' and the second is 'unclear'. Both of these meanings are used in the Qur'an and Sunnah.

What an amazing resource! I didn't know anything like this existed and have struggled with similar ayaat for some time.

May Allah bless and reward the brother who compiled it and the one sharing here, and accept it with the best of acceptance, ameen.
