[Snowflake]

As He wills


finally.. after a time
two lonely tears
broke free from my eyes
i'd been sitting in a gathering
people laughing and chatting
I remember someone had spoken to me
from the other side of the room
but i wasn't really there
for in that moment in time
my gaze had frozen upon the wall
i wasn't looking at anything
for my eyes had turned to stone
it was you I was thinking
and you I was seeing
a memory had gripped my heart
its cruel fingers clenching hard
until two lonely tears
had escaped my eyes
it had been an age since i'd cried
and still as a statue i stayed
the company, the atmosphere
never took my attention
if anything...
it only heightened your absence
made me miss you more
memories... memories
thank you for leaving those
a distant voice of long ago
echoes through my mind
forever... forever you will live
in a secret place inside
but... but...
this loss i have accepted
as being the will of God
for I know Allah knows best
the Guardian of my heart

btw before you ask if anything is clear , she had an abortion and womb got taken out so she cant get preg anymore, he married again by her consent, she awaited him but he took so long she began to wonder if he's ever coming or staying with the other wife, she decides to pray (mashAllah) as she makes sujood she passes away and her husband finds her to his dismay

lol mashaAllah Mz bro. Actually her womb is intact (i.e. barren womb) but due to some complication of miscarriage (not abortion) she is unable to have more children. You've got the next bit right. She actually suggests he marries again (she'd lowered the drawbridge for a second marriage). Her husband promises that he'll treat them both the same, but loses himself in his new wife and child. He keeps promising dates when he will return but fails to come. Then that day, realising how badly he's behaved, he comes home to find her in sujood. She isn't dead though! LOL! She is in so much anguish that she didn't hear him coming in.

Absolutely! A woman has so much love to give. But it's when love is fuelled by piety out of love and fear of Allah, that it can be very forgiving and patient and thus survive the cruellest tests of time.

~My Beloved~


Your voice filled the room, strong and clear
You was talking about Islam, your tone sincere
You related Hadiths and taught what you knew
Oh how I wanted to be like you!


You seemed to think, breathe and live for Islam
Seeking the pleasure of Allah, your only plan
How you benefitted the Ummah, for Allah's sake
I marvelled at the blessings you would rake


And like rain drops constantly falling upon a rock
I felt the trickle of emotions that didn't stop
Time fanned the flames of respect and admiration
Giving birth to a love beyond my imagination


Oh! If only you knew how I chided myself!
Months of torture followed as I scolded myself
I wasn't good enough for you, on this I'd dwell
But my love was sincere, so only time would tell


And though your love was like a thorn in my side
My feelings from you, I continued to hide
My heart shuddered yet I'd seal my lips for duaa
But how could I hide my longing from Allah?


Then came the day The Merciful and Kind, answered my plea
For The Turner of hearts, turned your heart to me
How you worried this feeling was a trick of shaytan
You went away seeking refuge in The Holy Qur'an


But my beloved, you realised your feelings were pure
You were amazed by what you felt but you knew it was true
Allah had placed love in your heart for me
Alhumdulillah! That day you proposed marriage to me


Of course I accepted! What more could I want?
A servant of Allah who has the beauty of imaan..
And so we wait for the day Allah will unite us
I pray The Merciful will never ever part us


My beloved, I pray to Allah for Paradise for you
Success in both Worlds, in my daily duaa for you
I pray in both lives, Allah blesses our union (ameen)
My love, I couldn't have wished for a better companion!

a silhoutte against the gleaming moon
she stands by a window, in her room
her fingers touch the cold glasspane
tracing rivulets of pouring rain


he said he'd come home tonight
they hadn't argued, there'd been no fight
but no harm had come to him she knew
he was with a new wife and baby too


an emptiness aches inside her barren womb
where no flower now, would ever bloom
motherhood cruelly snatched by a final miscarriage
she'd lowered the drawbridge for a second marriage


he'd promised to fulfil her rights that day
pledged to treat them equally come what may
yet tonight, like so many nights before
she only imagines him coming through the door


she wonders if the moon can see her misery
his light is reflecting much too fiercely
illuminating the delicate contours of her face
her solemn beauty, so dignified with grace


dark eyes glitter with defeated tears
she knows he wont come as dawntime nears
with a hopeful heart she prepares for salah
donning perfumed garments for a meeting with Allah


nearby, a candle and breeze enjoy a flickering dance
when a sudden gust of wind threatens to end their romance
a remorseful husband stands watching from the door
the epitome of forgiveness, in sujood on the floor
