except that hes not 40 but is crippled for 40 years, i thought i should confirm
based on someone I know and a general description of some others I have known. Wanted to get across the bleakness of this kind of life, I feel I have not done the people justice but will leave poem as it is and write again later
"O ye who belive! Endure, outdo all others in endurance, be ready, and observe your duty to Allah, in order that you may succeed"
Heard this before in a different song
though the music died, the lyrics still strong
it warped my mind and sent me wrong
away from the places my soul belong
indellible stains on my weakened soul,
the marks of sin when the devils control, the
sublte temptations, gently cajole
to a place in hell and a fiery hole
The beast is near, it blocks the light
blackens my soul and narrows my sight
distracts my mind from the need to fight
when I know im wrong, it tells me im right
And I cry inside while shaytan grins
coz I'll die with pride and other sins
but I still backslide and the evil wins
I could have tried but my emaan spins
I do good deeds but there not enough
no brother told me it could be this tough
that you get knocked down and treated rough
from the devils who hate you and call your bluff
Just when I thought my emaan was a tower
it crumbled and fell and I lost the power
to praise my Lord for the tiniest flower
to fear and prepare for the ultimate hour
So now im lost, stripped of His grace
a speck in the desert, a grain of disgrace
far and away from His wonderous face
in the darkend bowels of a trecherous place
I pine to be back in the light of God
and though you might see this as nothing but odd
I cannot seem to onwardly plod
when weighed down with sins like a devilish clod...........of earth
but the earth is beckoning
the fire is greeting
the day of reckoning
our time is fleeting
the roar is deafining
and soon our meeting
a last repenting
a final beating
A chance to be free of the pain
To stand and cry JIHAD again
I will not allow hells reign
I will not be one of the sleign
I will try to live in refrain.................
........Please Allah help me again............

Please make Dua for my Mum to come to Islam and to accept that Allah is the only one who can forgive, and to show her that her sins are not so many that Allah will not forgive them. Ameen
I had such a chuckle with this poem, hilarious amazing, what a talent.. still reading, they get more and more amazing... Masha'Allah.. you are blessed in ways you don't see

Thanks sister glad you are enjoying these, Allah has blessed me with much and I am guilty of offering little thanks, i gave a copy of this thread in hard copy to someone who has been contemplating reverting for several years, Allah guides us and blesses us

neither do I, and I can't tell you how resistant I was to the idea, until I discovered that it is safer and better than having it at that poetry.com site.. at least my private information are safe and I can make my blog by invite only if I desired, and of course you don't have to put pictures..
I discovered a chink in his armour today
though the steelly glare in his eye remained
I saw longing briefly stroke his face
flicker, blaze then become restrained.
hardened, cruel and battle scarred
evil incarnate
spewing bile and politics
and spreading rascial hate
Ox blood boots and shaven head
allegiance to the right
nazi symbols etched in ink
and soul as dark as night
A fearesome man who hunts in packs,
a viscious snarling beast
who bites and kicks his way through life
as violence is released
He marched to stop Islamic spread
he beat an Asian male
he fire bombed a corner shop
but left a guilty trail.
The parents of the orphaned girl
were laid within their grave
the animal now stood at trial
defiant, bold and......brave
The details of his hideous crime
related to the court
though not a flicker of remorse
nor regretful thought
Quick the verdict, straight and true
his cold hard eyes still glare
but all the hatred in his heart
failed him to prepare
for the gentle nudge that hastened next
and revealed to him despair.
The orphaned girl no more than ten
held his steelly gaze
when her broken heart so softly spoke
it left him in a daze
"Thankyou for not concealing your hate
as many others do,
your honesty is plain for all
and part of what makes you,
my parents trial is now at end
with Allah lies their fate,
I pray He takes away your pain
before it is to late.
I forgive the thing you did too us
revenge cannot be mine,
my broken heart belongs to God
in this there is a sign,
for you to come to know your sins
and for you to then repent,
and I pray that Allah guides you
to a higher pure intent.
Muhammad (pbuh) was the best of men
what he bought to us is clear
that we shall live our righteous lives
only Allah shall we fear."
The fleeting glimpse of recognition
scurried across his face
the stregnth of a ten year old orphaned girl
rocked him to his base
The moment passed and his sneer returned
guilt had left no trace
but in his heart a light had stirred,
the touch of Allahs grace.

Im back once again
from the brink of ruin
been sat right back
festered and stewin
but watch this space
coz my spirit is brewin
with the urge to write
like a dove just flewin
and kissed my mind
with the peace in which I knew Him
