Immortal ♥

I used to dream of there being a category such as this (creative writing) and now there is one! yayyy!
So here's another poem. It's called Immortal. Loaded with irony and weirdness.

Immortal

I’m deafened by your silence,

Dazed by all the years,

Numbed by your violence,

And smothered by the tears.

I’m looking for the key,

But I won’t find it here,

These chains no longer threaten me,

And your eyes won’t cause me fear.

You’ve broke my heart into pieces,

And you strive to shatter my bones,

You’ve shown me your evil faces,

And lead me through deadly zones.

And even though we got along,

You shot my heart with a sole bullet

But I’m standing right where I belong,

And a petite bullet won’t end my spirit.

I’d wish I hadn’t picked up the pen,

But I wrote and I saw, the pictures of hell,

With you, I know that’s where I’ve been,

And with you, here is my farewell.
