Blessed with palaces filled with gold, jewels of all kinds
Entrusted with power overlooking the lands, justice prevails yet sometimes derails
Faith and Culture planted in the ground, in the hearts, grows strong
Exploring the earth sailing high seas, locating new worlds
Borders unseen undivided unimportant
Once; Dominance
Now; Debilitated
Sickness seeps as darkness leaps
Poverty heaps as Mothers weep
Death sweeps a continent once powerful
Where are those kings that governed over such bountiful lands? Lifeless, dead as can be.

I'm kinda disappointed that not a lot of people are viewing this thread. I'm sure we can discuss the issues delivered in this poem, really reflect on the impact Islam had on the African continent and so forth.
Just a reminder to all: the End is NEAR.
