A bomb would adorn my chest and the band of Laa Ilaaha Il Allah would be across
my forehead
Then, crossing the blood-stained valley I would launch myself into the thick of
battle
Shouting Allahu Akbar I would attack His enemies
Each of them I would eliminate, one by one, avenging the blood of my Shaheed
brothers
I would free the weak from tyranny and oppression
Yes! This is the Mujahid I would be!
A Mujahid who would pile up the bodies of the enemy, like Khalid Bin Walid (ra)
Who would shatter the idols, like Mahmood Ghazanwi
Who would burn the ships on the seashore, like Tariq Bin Zayad
Who would battle against the crusaders like, Salaahuddin Ayyubi
And then… fighting Jihad, I would become Shaheed……
But, Alas! This cannot be!
For, a lion-hearted, Mujahid warrior I am not
In fact...I am a fragile woman.

which is unislamic in my view, and does come across as glorifying things which are going on across the globe today. However, the overall poem is rather funny, hence the ending, but you have a point Callum.
Does anyone else think the poem basically endorses hatred?
I would agree with minaz in that it does seem to glorify violence, which is completely contrary to islamic teachings. In Jihad, the entire focus is on how much you are willing to sacrifice in the way of Allah, not how much destruction you can bring on others. The following hadith emphasizes this concept:
...Allah's Apostle in one of his military expeditions against the enemy, waited till the sun declined and then he got up amongst the people saying, "O people! Do not wish to meet the enemy, and ask Allah for safety, but when you face the enemy, be patient, and remember that Paradise is under the shades of swords." Then he said, "O Allah, the Revealer of the Holy Book, and the Mover of the clouds and the Defeater of the clans, defeat them, and grant us victory over them." (Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 52, Number 266l)
This is how it has always been in Islam; war has been undesirable and despised as it brings destruction upon the Creation of Allah swt. The Prophet saws fought for the safety of the Muslim state as the above hadith indicates. In the event of Jihad, the focus is clearly on the sacrifice that one is willing to make for their Creator. Few understood this concept better than Abdullah ibn Jahsh rd, a companion of the Prophet Muhammad saws. Another companion, Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas rd, relates their story:
During the battle, Abdullah came to me and said, "Aren't you making a dua to God?"
"Yes," said I. So we moved aside and I prayed, "O Lord, when I meet the enemy, let me meet a man of enormous strength and fury. Then grant me victory over him that I might kill him and acquire spoils from him."
To this prayer of mine, Abdullah said, "Ameen" and then he prayed:
"Let me meet a man of great standing and enormous fury. I shall fight him for Your sake, O Lord, and he shall fight me. He shall take me and cut off my nose and ears and so that when I meet You on the morrow You may say, "For what were your nose and ear cut off?" And I would reply, "For Your sake and for the sake of Your Prophet." So that You may say, "You have spoken the truth . . ."
Sa'd continues the story: The prayer of Abdullah ibn Jahsh was better than mine. I saw him at the end of the day. He was killed and mutilated and in fact his nose and his ear were hung on a tree with a thread . (SOURCE)
Thus, we find that the companions, who understood Islam best, knew that the most important part of any struggle was the effort involved for the sake of Allah swt, not so much the result. Especially in a battle, they knew that it was not about killing the enemy but about dying in the way of God.

many sisters are mujahids and have been throughout islamic history,
we maybe women but we are not as fragile as all that, mashallah our sisters in iraq and kashmir are fighting as we sit here typing this, inshaallah Allah will give victory to the mujahadeen and peace in thier hearts and fear in the hearts of the enemy.
Volume 4, Book 52, Number 47:
Narrated Anas bin Malik:
Allah's Apostle used to visit Um Haran bint Milhan, who would offer him reals. Um-Haram was the wife of Ubada bin As-Samit. Allah's Apostle, once visited her and she provided him with food and started looking for lice in his head. Then Allah's Apostle slept, and afterwards woke up smiling. Um Haran asked, "What causes you to smile, O Allah's Apostle?" He said. "Some of my followers who (in a dream) were presented before me as fighters in Allah's Cause (on board a ship) amidst this sea cause me to smile; they were as kings on the thrones (or like kings on the thrones)." (Ishaq, a sub-narrator is not sure as to which expression the Prophet used.) Um-Haram said, "O Allah's Apostle! Invoke Allah that he makes me one of them. Allah's Apostle invoked Allah for her and slept again and woke up smiling. Once again Um Haram asked, "What makes you smile, O Allah's Apostle?" He replied, "Some of my followers were presented to me as fighters in Allah's Cause," repeating the same dream. Um-Haram said, "O Allah's Apostle! Invoke Allah that He makes me one of them." He said, "You are amongst the first ones." It happened that she sailed on the sea during the Caliphate of Mu'awlya bin Abi Sufyan, and after she disembarked, she fell down from her riding animal and died.
(That she said), "O Allah's Apostle! We consider Jihad as the best deed. Should we not fight in Allah's Cause?" He said, "The best Jihad (for women) is Hajj-Mabrur (i.e. Hajj which is done according to the Prophet's tradition and is accepted by Allah)."
Volume 4, Book 52, Number 46:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "The example of a Mujahid in Allah's Cause-- and Allah knows better who really strives in His Cause----is like a person who fasts and prays continuously. Allah guarantees that He will admit the Mujahid in His Cause into Paradise if he is killed, otherwise He will return him to his home safely with rewards and war booty."

Brother a women could participate in Jihaad if she's willing,but her jihad is hajj ul- mabruur.Jazakallah sister and inshAllah may Allah make us all Mujahids.
A woman can participate in Jihad if this poses no risk or danger to her dignity. She can also help in preparing food, curing the injured, carrying weapons. It is reported that `A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) used to go out with a number of the women of Al-Ansar to cure the injured and bring water to the fighters. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to give such participating women a share of the spoils of war.
