Allah , this word that is used only in reference to the only true God, this word cant be pluralized nor feminized, unlike the other words that can be used in reference to other deities such as( God- gods & goddess).

Muhammad was asked by his contemporaries about Allah , and the answer was directly said by Allah him self in a form of a short chapter in the Qur’an which is considered as the essence or the motto of monotheism :
“ say, He is Allah , the one , Allah , the eternal, absolute; He begets not , nor is He begotten , and there is none like unto Him’ ( Quran 112).
Some non-Muslims allege that the concept of God in Islam is that he is so cruel , he is not loving nor kind. Nothing can be further from truth than this allegation.

Besides being merciful Allah is just too. People who are suffering in this life for His sake & evil doers who aaare oppressing others will not receive the same treatment.

Allah created the human beings as equals. They may distinguish themselves & earn his favor through virtue & piety alone.

Why Allah cant be a human being or cant have human characteristics??

Another point is that the creator should be of a different nature from the things he created because if He is of the same nature as they are, He will be temporal & therefore will need a maker. The maker should not be temporal, so He must eternal.

How Allah is eternal ??

If Allah is eternal , so He cant be caused, & if nothing caused Him to come into existence, nothing outside him causes him to continue to exist, which means He is self-sufficint. And if He doesn’t depend on anything else for the continuous of His existence, then this existence can’t have any end, so Allah is eternal.

Allah says in the Quran:
“ Allah is the creator of all things, and He is the guardian and disposer of all affairs. To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth; and those who reject the signs of Allah, it is they who will be in a loss”
( Quran 39:62-63)
