I don't like cousins marrying cousins. One of the reasons thats done is because they are family and they know each other. One other thing comes to my mind from this topic. In Pakistan we have casts, by this it says which family you are from hundreds of years ago. Now a days some casts are fairly rated high above others without any reason. There are some casts which are given no respect, and the higher cast cannot marry the one from lower cast. This gets me mad because humans are saying they are better than other humans and some are higher than others. I am so against this.

This I do not have a definitive answer for. I have no problem in the marriage between cousins being permitted, but I also have negative feelings about such. Mostly because here in the USA, it is most prevalent in the poor, uneducated regions such as some parts of Appalachia and deep in the Ozarks. It carries with it the connotation that it is something done only by the isolated and uneducated. Cultural bias is a poor reason to be against something, but that is essentially why I am not a fan of marriage between relatives.

I voted for neutral because i dont have anything against it since is halal but at the same time i wouldnt marry a relative .

Islam prohibits racism... You're not supposed to say that you're greater than another person because of yourr skin color or wealth or anythinglike that.. In his last sermon, Muhammad s.a.w. said: “An arab is not better than a non-arab nor is a white greater than a black except in taqwa.” This is exactly what the Quran preaches. "If any do deeds of righteousness be they male or female and have faith, they will enter Heaven, and not the least injustice will be done to them." (4:124) Nothing is mentioned abuot how you must be rich or arab or something in order to be rewarded. There is an ayat on how Allah judges based on what is IN the heart.. meaning what you do, not your appearance or anything. lol so I found it weird that there are castes in pakistan that is a Hindu thing.. Castes

you know in the UK its illegal to marry your first cousin right?

but what if u want to? Its allowed in islam even though if your going to have your wedding back home not in the UK. And when you come back to the UK will it be ok? i mean even if u dont do the wedding back and you do it in the UK will they allow someone(muslims) to marry their first cousin?

Well if you are someone that has been like growing up with your cousins and treating like brothers or sisters then I think marrying them is a little weird. But if you hardly know them, then whatever.Allah has made it lawful.

Just one of our disgusting pakistani traditions, another one is where family plan years ahead that a certain cousin will be wedded to another cousin, like the mother saying she will be my daughter or he will be my son, soo backwards

I can relate my friends (pakistani) family to this soo much, basically all the marriages have been cousin marriages and now all the couples children in this family look the same, and now everyone calls them gremlins!!!! you cant tell who's brother or sister is who's

I don't know which countries u guys are from. but back home in Pakistan, when i was about 7, they had already decided who i was goin to marry. when i was 15 my mom told me i was gonna marry some next cousin of mine. that **** pisses me off.
