I've seen plenty of happy successful marriges..
if its allah made it halal then there is nothing wrong with it but if its simply awkward to some then thats perfectly fine....everyone has a distinctive choice

I'm indifferent towards it. I know of some in my family that have worked alhamdulillah. I wouldn't marry a cousin though, because I simply don't have any similarities with most of 'em on one side and on the other side only one is older than me...

This is one of those instances where you can't take an example from somewhere and apply it elsewhere.
Some individuals may have relatives who were married and stayed married till the day they died, that doesn't mean to say everyone should look up their single cousins!
Other individuals will have known some uncles, aunties or cousins who have not had such good marriages, that doesn't mean to say you should discourage everyone from it.

You know, I read the title and was gonna answer, yes, I love going to relatives weddings to help out and that, you know, like family do!
Then I read the replies and realised you meant like marriage within family. My answer's no.
Personal opinion that is. I've seen some happy cousin marriages and some not so happy ones.
The problem with the not so happy family marriages is that they have greater repurcussions than in say, non- cousin marriages coz if it leads to divorce, then whole family gets involved and yada yada yada.
I know it's permissible, but I personally don't like the idea.

What kind of relatives? Cousins to Cousins. If that's the case no because the people one sees growing up as a baby and than marrying your son or daughter. I wouldn't recommend it to happen.
There must be some hadiths about relative marriage.Inshallah I find it.Or somebody else finds it soon and post.
I found some words contrary to relative marriage in Ihya of Imam Gazali.But I think I cant back up it for now.SO I wont write it here.But the reason there is the possible weakness of children of this sort of marriage.Anyways, I have found a fact that every muslim would know.
