Re: proactive integration with intelligence and insight
we have become expert moaners
but not expert and effective doers
fights in mosques where others have to calm the situation
we cannot even run our own homes and mosques properly
then we moan about others running our lives
we cannot prevent
grooming gangs, terrorists, spousal and daughter in law abuse
is that all we want to be known for?
yes there is disproportionate reporting
but do we engage in proportionate and effective measures in our own communities to deal with the cancers and enemies and idiots within
or are we more bothered about respect and losing that chair ,that platform, that izzat
Re: proactive integration with intelligence and insight
the importance of a broader networking
there is an element within all of us to some extent to "stick to your own kind".
obviously there is nothing wrong or illegal about this.
when someone minds their own business, lives their own life ,and harms no one.
problems arise when this turns into "reverse apartheid".when someone actively refuses to bond, link or bridge with others.
many are under the illusion that because they have various social network accounts they are actually linking with "others"
this may be the case when you use the network to actually do something in the "real world"
true linking with "others" ,getting to know people of different races and religions in the physical space is a vital solution to some of the problems insularity has created.
Re: proactive integration with intelligence and insight
most of us are in no position to change world events
most of us are in no position to influence any president, prime minister ,army etc
in fact the brutal truth is that most of us have little influence even in our own families and communities
we will not be questioned by allah about events and situations outside of our control
yet many "prominent" and "influential" muslims and orgs constantly fail to realize this,or at least accept it. this in my mind is tantamount to stupidity and just a vying for popularity and whatever cause seems to be in vogue.
i know for a fact that many u.k muslim orgs and individuals are competing for power and influence at the moment.i know this. most fail to address local issues,as this will lead to less focus on the more "popular" causes it is as if no one wants to tackle or speak about child grooming, local drug dealing, spouse abuse, etc
because this will mean tackling "your own people"..this will make you unpopular we are going through great trials..
most of us cannot change world events...but trying to will keep you popular ,online and offline
it takes more courage to deal with our own trash and community issues
