    Salam Alaikum,
The Moon sighting committees in India and Pakistan start looking for the moon at the start of Ramathan and Eid-ul-fitr a day after all other committees in the world.
Maybe it has something to do with the Islamic calender whereby when it's 2nd Rajab in India it is 3rd Rajab everywhere else, so throughout the year, we are a day behind in India. Does someone here know why this is so? Shukran in advance!

Re: Why are Ramathan and Eid Days different in India and Pakistan from rest of the wo

I found kind of answer to this matter some years ago:

"Geographical differences mean we are a day behind Saudi Arabia in terms of lunar months"

    Article tells more:

Why are Ramathan and Eid Days different in India and Pakistan from rest of the world?

    From Occupied Palestine:

We have suffered too much for too long. We will not accept apartheid masked as peace. We will settle for no less than our freedom.
