Ramadan is approaching, for this occasion I wish that Ramadan 2018 brings us blessings.
I would like to make quick reminders about Ramadan.
Allah commands the believers to observe the fast for numerous reasons pertaining to this world and the hereafter.
- It helps realise taqwaa (righteousness, piety, consciousness of Allah, guarding against evil).
- It provides ample training in refraining from sin and wrongdoing.
- It helps us remember the needy and the distressed and encourages us to sympathise with them.
- Sick people whose medical condition is bound to be further worsened by fasting.
- People who cannot possibly observe a fast due to old age or sick people for whom there is no hope of recovery.
- Travelers.
- Menstruating women.
- Pregnant and nursing.
Re: Ramadan Mubarak 2018, Simple Guide for Fasting
You feel your fast is more complete when you avoid backbiting, cursing, cheating, lying, stealing, not lowering your gaze, listening or watching mindless entertainment, etc.
