I am very pleased to welcome a new competition to IslamicBoard. At the moment, it's an open deadline. The title should say it all.
There will be TWO competitions, and you may participate in both. Both competitions are related to the new Al-Qalam Newsletter (QalamNewsletter.com).
Logo Competition:
Create a logo for Al-Qalam Newsletter. This can consist of anything, provided that the logo is not copyrighted or used illegally. Also, it may not consist of any human pictures or anything with eyes.
Banner Competition:
Create a banner for the Al-Qalam Newsletter site. The banner will be placed on the center of the top of QalamNewsletter.com and the size must fit that space. This can consist of anything, provided that the banner is not copyrighted or any part of it used illegally. Also, it may not consist of any human pictures or anything with eyes. Maximum (ideal) Size: 409 X 63
*~* Prize *~*
For each competition, there will be THREE winners.
1st Place Winners: $10 Gift Card + 500 Reputation Points
2nd Place Winners: 250 Reputation Points
3rd Place Winners: 100 Reputation Points
*New Addition* The 1st prize winners will also receive a 24 ounce Amphora Honey Jar. ('Special from Grandpa Woodrow!)
It will look like this only with a custom Label made just for the 2 first place winners.
Pure Home bottled South Dakota Clover Honey
Deadline: October 1st, 2009!
Winners will be chosen by the member votes. I am considering staff votes to be worth more than regular member votes.
The size of the logo must be minimum the size of an avatar. But I won't restrict you with the logo size, as long as it is not ridiculously small or ridiculously big. A logo is a logo size!
Yes, with no eyes. Meaning, no animals, humans, insects, etc with eyes. You can't black out the eyes either, unless you black out the whole animal until it looks like a shadow.
TBA = To Be Announced
Competitors: You are right. I made a mistake there. I'll fix that asap.
Voting will take place after we close submissions. And, that is TBA.
It'll be centered on the top of the QalamNewsletter.com site, so the size is flexible. I'll have to get back to you if you want an actual maximum/minimum size limits. :X
