I was wondering if we can have a feature which allows us to show what kind of mood we are in? I seen it on some forum ages ago (can't remember which). I think it will encourage people to be more sensitive when dealing with others.
Don't think so There isn't any such option in the settings :><: If majority of members don't like this, I'll remove it. And maybe replace it with something like an extra field in profile info, that appears only when set, like the location/gender/religion bits.

On one side, not bad. On the other side I prefer simplicity, and the smiley thing is a bit distracting and unnecessary. I think the forum should feel homely and comfortable. The status thing could be well beneficial for the reasons the OP stated.
To conclude, remove the smiley thing & leave the status.

we should be sensitive and considerate to each other anyway... regardless of mood.
