We're not sure what was on TV in 1966 in the former Yugoslavia, but it was the last thing seen by a woman whose remains have only recently been found.
Hedviga Golik, who was born in 1924, was discovered by police in the Croatian capital of Zagreb, long-dead and sitting in her armchair in front of her black-and-white television.
The deceased had been reported missing 42 years ago, and neighbors say they thought she had moved away to live with relatives. Oddly though, the police only recently broke in to try to determine who owned the apartment and they still have not figured out how the woman could have been reported missing so long ago without anyone checking the residence.
"When officers went there, they said it was like stepping into a place frozen in time," a police spokesman said. "The cup she had been drinking tea from was still on a table next to the chair she had been sitting in ... Nothing had been disturbed for decades, even though there were more than a few cobwebs in there."
A neighbor, fittingly, remembered Golik as "a quiet woman who kept herself to herself."
this is nothing, I have the story to end all stories and it just happened the last time my mom was on vacation, in my aunt's building if you can believe it.. a homosexual boy was found dead, killed by one of his lovers.. everyone thought he was a law student.. but they said the smell was positively unbearable, that by the third day they knew for sure there was a dead body.. my poor aunts were shaking so much especially when they took out his body..
my mom said the state 'coroner's car' was a pick up truck (lol) and they took a blanket from my aunt to cover the body because they didn't have body bags.. which is equally hilarious..
she brought back the pix from the newspaper but my dad tore them before I had a look... I wish someone would find me that article again.. but yes the world is full of odd upsetting news.........

And as for the onewho fears standing in front of His Lord and restrainsthe soul from impure evil desires and lusts, verily, Paradise will be his abode [79:40-41]

you are under no obligation to look for it.. yes the coroner's service is indeed horrible there but at least the coroner himself did a good job with the autopsy...
I have looked in all 'Al 'Ahram' newspapers but didn't find it, I suppose because the 'accidents page' is really not useful for an American audience so they forgo it?
There are three major papers Egypt produces
Ahram
Akhbar
gomhouria << or something like that
I doubt it made it to the small circulation ones but who knows.. it doesn't matter now, my curiosity was piqued then, because his lover got off scotch free, his mom (the killer's) is supposedly a top lawyer so I believe he only did seven months?
He was dumb enough to use the deceased cell phone, he also stole his lap-top.. it was amazing.. really tragic.. I was upset for the dead kid, because his family had disowned him, but his dad came around and gave him a proper funeral/burial at the end....
I'd hate to think someone would be left like an animal with no justice, no matter how much an abomination I think their life.. this kid exposed so many people in the process though, he had an internet porno and everything..
what a strange world we live in, the old country is really no different than its western counterparts... I used to think there was goodness still left in it
apparently not!
cheers

Well, I can't find anything either. If you ever get enthusiastic about seeing the pic again, I suggest you use arabic engines.
