is adoption allowed in islam
the amount of orphans in the middle east is growing everyday
the amount of women who can't have a baby in the west is growing also
is adoption allowed in islam and if not, why? if we can stop one child from growing up in miserable circumstances..

Re: is adoption allowed in islam
I believe it is but you can't give the child your name...the Prophet(saw) had an adopted son I believe and he too himself was an orphan...
I dont know it in detail tho, inshaAllah someone else can answer.

Re: is adoption allowed in islam
yeah its allowed to adopt a child, or foster them but you must name the child after his father- or attribute the child to the father.
That is his father if he was born in wed lock.
Children are not attributed to thier fathers if they were born out of wedlock,

^^And if they're not, are they nameless(family wise), named after their mothers family or foster family?
