Keep yourself safe from even sagheerah sins because it is a virtue of the pious. The Sahaba (R.A.) were so devout with regards to their religion that committing even a minor sin accidentally led them to infinite grief.
If Allah helps you, none can overcome you; and if He forsakes you, who is there after Him that can help you? And in Allah (Alone) let believers put their trust.
Surah Ale Imran : 160
It was narrated that Anas ibn Maalik (may Allaah be pleased with him) said:
The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) climbed up Uhud, accompanied by Abu Bakr, ‘Umar and ‘Uthmaan, and the mountain shook with them. He struck it with his foot and said: “Stand firm, O Uhud, for there is no one on you but a Prophet or a Siddeeq or two martyrs.”
Narrated by al-Bukhaari (3483)
Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Taala) does not inspire seeking forgiveness in a slave whom he wishes to punish.
“Satan rejoiced when Adam (ályhissalam) came out of Paradise, but he did not know that when a diver sinks into the sea, he collects pearls and then rises again.” [Ibn al-Qayyim]
❋Let's try our best to collect lots of pearls [good deeds] and rise again to high ranks of Paradise! O Allah make it easy for us! Ameen.❋
Say the truth:
Narrated 'Abdullah: The Prophet (SAW) said: "Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. And a man keeps on telling the truth until he becomes a truthful person. Falsehood leads to Al-Fajur (i.e. wickedness, evil-doing), and Al-Fajur leads to the (Hell) Fire, and a man may keep on telling lies till he is written before Allah, a liar."
[Bukhari Book 73, Hadith 116]
Narrated by Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):
The Prophet (SAW) said, "Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the worst of false tales; and do not look for the others' faults and do not spy, and do not be jealous of one another, and do not desert (cut your relation with) one another, and do not hate one another; and O Allah's worshippers! Be brothers (as Allah has ordered you!")
(Bukhari: Volume 8 : No. 90)
Call people to righteousness:
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: He who called (people) to righteousness, there would be reward (assured) for him like the rewards of those who adhered to it, without their rewards being diminished in any respect. And he who called (people) to error, he shall have to carry (the burden) of its sin, like those who committed it, without their sins being diminished in any respect.
(Sahih Muslim Book 034, Number 6470)
First we should have a good intention to gain knowledge then act upon it and then call the people towards it .
Don't expose your sins:
Narrated by Abu Huraira (RA): I heard Allah's Apostle (SAW) saying.
"All the sins of my followers will be forgiven except those of the Mujahirin (those who commit a sin openly or disclose their sins to the people) .
An example of such disclosure is that a person commits a sin at night and though Allah screens it from the public, then he comes in the morning, and says, 'O so-and-so, I did such-and-such (evil) deed yesterday,' though he spent his night screened by his Lord (none knowing about his sin) and in the morning he removes Allah's screen from himself."
(Bukhari Volume 8, No. 95)
Be patient:
The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:"There is no gift better and more vast (that you may be given) than patience."
- Sahih Al Bukhari, Hadith 8:477
Patience with family is love...
Patience with others is respect...
Patience with one self is confidence...
and Patience with GOD is faith...
Ibn al-Qayyim: So ponder on the fact that Allaah the Most High expelled Adam & Hawaa and the accursed Satan from paradise due to one sin. Whereas we foolish people sin on a daily basis.
Try to be among the righteous:
Allah has promised, to those among you who believe and work righteous deeds, that He will, of a surety, grant them in the land, inheritance (of power), as He granted it to those before them; that He will establish in authority their religion - the one which He has chosen for them; and that He will change (their state), after the fear in which they (lived), to one of security and peace: ´They will worship Me (alone) and not associate aught with Me. ´If any do reject Faith after this, they are rebellious and wicked.
(An-Noor: verse 55)
