Re: Reminder of Today
When we as an ummah expect only our scholars to be "practicing", then we consciously abandon progress and dive into a collective stale mate.

Even if you are unable to concentrate in Zikr, don't give it up.
Be grateful that at least some part of the body is busy in Zikr.

Beware the liar.
He lies so much that he forgets the truth.
He even finds it hard to accept the truth & ends up believing in his own lies.

Imām Shāfiʿī (Allāh be pleased with him) overheard two men disagreeing with one another.
He said to one of them:
“You cannot please everyone. Improve that which is between you and Allāh and do not worry about people.”

Re: Reminder of Today
In al-Fath al-Mubin, Ibn Hajar defines modesty (ar. haya'):
“It is what restrains one, a fear for one's self that his doing something bad might become known.”
Haya' is a natural state that one is endowed with, while experiencing it in full is something that an individual must strive for.
