I'm not sure if there's a place here to share beautiful quotes. But there are so many of them. I'd like to add in a quote or saying on a daily basis.
Here's my first:
A man slips more by his tongue than by his foot!

‘I could not praise Muhammad with my words;
rather, my words were made praiseworthy by mentioning Muhammad '
-Hassan bin Thabit
"An amazing fact:
South African Breweries (SAB) delivers liquor successfully to over 800,000 shebeens (pubs) across SA weekly, but SA Government cannot deliver text books to 26,000 schools once a year . . .
If SAB and Government swap delivery methods, we can have a civilised, sober and educated country!"
^ Sad, but true...... ^
"If a servant of Allah tries to reflect over the greatness and majesty of Allah, and diverts all of his attention towards Him, he will find no pleasure in the company of other people to the extent that his heart will find no peace with anyone except Allah."
Salaam
"If the hearts are pure, they will never have enough from reciting Allah's words (the Qur'an)."

‘If you don’t have the ability to compete with the pious in righteous deeds then compete with the sinners in asking Allah’s forgiveness’- Ibn Rajab
What Allah has forbidden can never bring you joy.
SubhanAllah! so true
^ Yep, how true.....
Look at the ones who have struggled the most in life, who have suffered many losses.....how humbling are these experiences (in most cases).
(So, look at your trials as those periods in your life that are, insha Allah, helping to mould you into a better person......)
Alhamdulillah, for our prophet (sallalahu alaihi wasalam)!
discussion is an exchange of knowledge argument is an exchange of ignorance.
The Sword wounds the body, sharp words the mind. - Menander
“Some people have the disease of criticizing all the time. They forget the good about others and only mention their faults.
They are like flies that avoid the good and pure places and land on the bad and wounds. This is because of the evil within the self and the spoiled nature.”
—Shaykh Al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullah)
Once Umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) said to Al-Ahnaf bin Qais (Radi Allahu Anhu):
“Oh Ahnaf, the more one laughs, the less dignity will he possess.
Whoever jokes (excessively) is a person who will be taken lightly.
Whoever does something frequently will known by that thing.
Whoever speaks often, errs often; the more often one errs, the less modesty he will possess; Whomever has a low level of modesty will also have a low level of piety; and when one has a low level of piety, then his heart dies.”When advising another man, Umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) said,
“Do not speak about that which does not concern you.
Know your enemy and be wary of your friend, except for the trustworthy one. And no one is trustworthy, except for the person who fears Allah.
Do not walk with the evildoer, lest he teaches you some of his evil; and do not reveal your secrets to him.
And when you consult others in your affairs, consult only those who fear Allah ‘Azza wa jall.”
(Sifatus-Safwah 1/149)
'Umar ibn AbdulAziz used to say to his soldiers, "You must fear disobeying Allah more than you fear your enemy. If you do not, then Allah will forsake you." And there is nothing our attackers can do that will be worse than the loss of nearness to Allah.
"Don't raise your voice. Improve your argument."
Desmond Tutu
Don't judge a person by what others say.
The person may be true to you, But not to others...
Because the same sun which melts the ice, hardens the clay.
Ibn Taymiyyah rahimahullah said,
"The more the servant loves his Lord, the less will he love other objects and they will decrease in number. The less the servant loves his Lord, the more will he love other objects and they will increase in number".
-- Majmoo’ al-Fatawa [1/94]
"Drive away your distress by being pleased with
Allah's decree,
for however long the night may be, it will be
followed by dawn."
~Abu Darda (radi Allahu 'anhu)
