tbh these days I think media does proliferate too much but in reality there is a lot of support for muslims and opposition against Muslim victimisation
Mmm... this is just plain not true. There are plenty of voices who speak out against wrongs all over the world. Does this stop wrongdoers from their acts? (sigh) Not necessarily.
But our duty as Muslims is to do what we can. Feel, speak out, and act to stop or alleviate the wrongs of this world... as much as we can. (smile) But we will never be able to eradicate all wrongdoing. It is part of the fabric of this life.
(seriously) But what is important to remember is that the wrongs of others do not justify us doing wrong. If a corporation steals from us... does this give us license to be thieves? If a head of state lies... does this give us license to be liars? If members of an army abuse women and children, does this mean that "our" men may do the same?
(gently) Abo Mussab, you have written many posts about the injustices of this world, about the righteousness of fighting and of the weaknesses of Muslims... (softly) but it is soeasy for the Shaitan to take this frustration and anger and use it to convince us that we then have license to do the very things we abhor in others.
(gently) We all have wounds, Abo Mussab... the question is... are we strong enough to strive towards what is good and Pleasing to Allah... or are we going to wander down the easy-seeming paths that lead us into twilit places far from Him?
