Bridge a gap between liberals and conservatives, old and the young. The generational and ethical gaps amongst today's rival groups is really simple and I really think a conference would help set things straight.
"This world is a blank price tag, and whatever value you put on it, is what its worth to you. I have made this world priceless and worthless, so therefore I have placed my value in the afterlife."
25:36 And the true servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk the earth with humility and when the ignorant address them, they respond with words of peace.
3. avoid finding faults on other people...just give da'wah with good intention.
4. avoid having bad impression towards others..even the ruler and the politicians ...
25:36 And the true servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk the earth with humility and when the ignorant address them, they respond with words of peace.
"Watch your thoughts, they become words.
Watch your words, they become actions.
Watch your actions, they become habits.
Watch your habits, they become character.
Watch your character, they become destiny"

Your suggestions would sound trivial to some people, but they fail to understand how important joking around and smiling are in 'building bridges'. Making people laugh puts everyone at ease and is an excellent ice breaker. On a personal level, everyone needs to be friendly and understanding. This is not necessarily easy, but it is essential. In Islam we're told to be nice and kind people, so it needn't be so difficult, eh?
On a public level, like Dahir said, we need more conferences, or 'inter-faith meetings' or whatever you call them, which aren't adversarial in nature, but rather are discussions leading to a point of agreement - or indeed to a point where we can agree to disagree, but at least find some way of peacefully co-existing.
