IMENSE RESPECT TO ANYONE WHO WISHES TO FOLLOW THE TRUTH
and
there is no God worthy of worship besides Allah subhanahu wata'ala, and truelly Muhammad saws is his last and final messenger after all the prophets such as musa(moses), eesa(jesus)
, etc. He was the seal of the prophets, and he perfected the religion.

During these prayers does one recite certain prayers
well it depends on what position of praying you are, for example if you are on the standing straight position, it is a must that you have to recite Al-Fatiha, the first chapter of the Qur'an...etc.. inshaallah I will find a link that explains the whole prayer thing, or maybe someone else too.

The prayers are pretty much the same, just different number of rakats (units of prayer)
1 rakat consists of Standing and reciting the first chapter of the quran, al fatiha, which is 7 verses. after that bowing and saying "subhana rabbiyal adheem" 3 times. standing up, then going into prostration and saying "subhana rabbiyal ala" 3 times, sitting up, prostrating again. sitting up. dont know if that makes sense, i didnt include everything in it. but there are many sites and video, books about learning the prayer. http://english.islamway.com/sindex.php?section=prayer

from what I have seen, I can tell you that you will be beaten up at the very least. as will the imaam who teaches you Shahadah, then a case of kidnapping and forced conversion will be registered against him
If you are serious keep it quite and read up on the subject,

I hope this will help you. I have a friend who was a hindu and had embraced Islam and she is very happy.
A$ingh, do not worry you have joined in one of the greatest forums around, all praises be to God, you'll learn loads and hopefully make your mind up, just ask for help and you'll find it! Read books and ask questions to other Muslims (not your friends as they don't seem very practising) and find out, do research and hopefull if God wills, you'll find answers to questions but this site hopefully will benefit you.
Peace to all.

Reason: Grammar mistakes
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ "Then which of the favours of Your Lord will ye deny?"
Al-Qur'aan; Surah Ar-Rahman
