*oops i dnt think this is the right board to post in*
The Prophet said, "Nobody who enters Paradise likes to go back to the world even if he got everything on the earth, except a Mujahid who wishes to return to the world so that he may be martyred ten times because of the dignity he receives (from Allah)."
Indeed this is very sad to hear, and we pray that Allaah grants your friend's father a high rank in Jannatul Firdaws and grants him peace in the hereafter and forgiveness for the suffering he endured in this life, Aameen.
Try your best to console your friend with comforting words and prayers for her father, and stick close to her in this time of need. May Allaah make it easy for both of you and her family, Aameen.
Thank you all so much for the support... Honestly, this is why I love this forum, you all are so kind masha'allah... Well, I agree with brother akhee, it was his destiny and insha'allah his pain has ended and he'll be in peace from now on, and Ameen to all of your du'aa. Come to think of it, had he survived, he would have been in great pain which is why the doctor had him asleep the whole time, so maybe Allaah had something better in store for him in the akhirah... anyway, Jazakallah Khair to everyone for their support.
Oh sis, i'm sorry to hear that. May Allah grant your friend sabr, and solace. I know how your friend feels ^^^(read my earlier post). It's very hard at first, but having faith in ur deen really erases the pain. Now all i say is alhamdulillah, coz my mother isn't in pain anymore... alhamdulillah. And you know, i still have my father and all my bros n sis (4 of each Masha-Allah). And now i feel so much more aware of death, and want to prepare for it more. So Allah's wisdom is infinite, i will become a much stronger muslim because of this insha-Allah. And i hope to meet my mother in paradise. You know she said the shahada when she passed away, and was smiling... subhanAllah. it's so powerful to think about. May Allah help ur friend through this difficult time, ameen.
Fi aman Allah
wow masha Allaah! subhan Allaah sis, i've read in a hadith that if one recites the shahadah before passing away, or his/her last deed in their life was giving charity, then insha Allaah they will get jannah.. so that is so lucky masha Allaah.
sorry for the confusion about before.. but i'm really happy for you lets all just work hard so we can do the same too insha Allaah.
May Allah grant him a high status in the Akhirah and make his time in the grave a peaceful Inshallah. And may He grant patience upon the family Inshallah.

I want to request Dua's for a few of my non-muslim freinds. Ive told them about Islam and it seems they are very interested in reverting Inshallah. Ill name them here and please make Dua by name (if u can remember) that Allah give them the Hidayah to revert to Islam. Making Dua for the guidance of others is not a sin.

Please do remember them in your Dua's as they are good people and are very open minded and just might make the right choice soon.

Dr. Zehra Attari, a resident of San jose, CA, is a pediatrician who was helping the underserved population in Oakland, CA, especially the most vulnerable section of our society, the children. She had been serving the community in Oakland for nearly 6 years. She is a loving wife and mother of two daughters who are also studying to become doctor.
On Monday Nov. 7th, she mysteriously disappeared after she left at approximately 5:00 pm from her clinic to go to attend a meeting in Alameda. There has been no information about her or her car since then. Her family, friends and the larger community have all rallied to search for her. The television and print media have continuously given coverage about her disappearance, vigils have been held in Oakland and San Jose to create awareness about her disappearance, the police in San Jose and Oakland have been searching extensively , but to no avail. More than 16 days have elapsed without any word about Dr. Zehra Attari
We believe she was probably abducted, and fear for her safety. Because so much time has elapsed, and Dr. Attari could have been moved to any location within or outside the state of California. Please keep her and her family in you duaas. Jazaakumullahu khaira.

Insha Allah we will make du'a for him, but as for reciting surah yaseen, this will not benefit the dead in any way...there is a hadeeth that says "recite yaseen over the dying"..and im not even sure how authentic this is..but du'a is powerful, and Allah..the Most Merciful...
...his day has come, and we are next in line....inna lillahi wa inna ilahi raajioon
