aaah at minus four its not a good idea to take that surgery and take that risks IMO :X

Even if you get a eye surgery done you will have to lose your eyesights, or weakened because thats the way Allah created us.

I know. Its just a person i know got a treatment and he is just fine

Laser eye treatment always scared the hell out of me and i know we are talking money here but i also hear its a 50 50 chance and its very risky too. Just want to know has anyone had this treatment or know about it. Please share

I researched it some time ago and decided against having come to the conclusion that, in my case anyway, it was just a vanity thing and hence not worth the risks (which aren't that bad, these days). I no longer wear contacts for exactly the same reason.

I think it depends on what your reasons are; neither spectacles or contact lenses are that good for contact sports, for example, and laser correction might be the right choice if you are into rugby or martial arts, etc.

Thanks for replies. I thought that too. Once you done it there is no turning back too. Im sticking with contacts. My vision is like minus 4 or something.

SubhanAllah -4 ...you probably cant see anything without glasses then right :?

^ mine is worse

I want it butmy dad wont let me.

Lasik and Laser is diff no?

In Kuwait, I know abt 10-15 ppl around me who got it done. 100% are satisfied with just like 10% having eye allergies from dust n humind weather. Some who were warned that their eye sight has not been regular since the past few years n should wait for it, did not recover 100% eye sight. They still have a number like .5 or .25.

But most are extremely satisfied. I know some ppl who had eye sight of about -6 and the girls said they couldn't see their husbands in the morning without wearing glasses. They r **** happy of getting it done.

And if ur worried abt this that they don't tell all the side effects, doctors always give u a nearly 10-15 page review of it. This includes all the side effects, including the fact, that u might loose ur eye sight.

Why I didn't get it done? My brother wouldn't let me. He had one argument, " If this surgery is so successful, why don't the doctors get it done for themselves?"

A big question and probably the answers r it is relativly new and we still can wait for some time before we get the answer.

And yes, one of my really old aunts got it done. She is nearly 80 yrs old. But she had headaches complain. However, she has been extremely happy to have an eye sight of 6/6 at that age. I don't know if she has recovered from the headaches but we should remember that she is really old.

my bro, best friend and her sister have this done. all been good with them. I want mines done but gta wait till sight is settled, plus dad dont agree with it ..

Just youtube LASIK, and watch a few of the procedures. You will be put off life from doing it ^^.

Well, I read in a medical magazin, and it said that it is not dangerous AT ALL, and that the next day you can't see anything, but after that, you see well without your glasses! =)
It also said that your don't feel no pain ;)

its not that bad guys.....
I did it last year and it went soo perfect alhumdulilah
they told me that I will feel dryness in my eyes so I have to keep using an artificial tear drops
but its not that scary at all.....I was soo scared before entering the surgery room....but it was just 20 minutes or less...you dont feel any pain at all

SubhanAllah, What number did your eyes had ? is it hard to keep your eyes open while surgery? :ooh:

:w:

its -2.75

they are putting some tool inside to hold your eye so you will keep your eye open without you feel it
also, they put some drop to widen your cornea so it will be more clear to the doctor

yeah....and now its 6/6......oh not now but the last time I checked it

I did not cheacked recently...but I dont feel like its drop
