Argh im being attacked!

go to control plane remove or add software and u can remove it from there

Is it in your Start menu?

Start>Programs>Norton Anti Virus>Uninstall...

Try that?

nope it isnt there , I just cant find the UNINSTALL file anywhere !

^o)Odd. I know its not the best way, but what about 'deleting' the program and then cleaning out your bin?
Did you look for it trough search as well?

I tried to google it but its too complicated lol I just want to remove norton from my computer and they wont let me :exhausted

I tried but I wasnt authorized to delete it :-\
and i tried search aswel

I find AVG to be the best available. But, for it to be effective you need to uninstall every trace of any anti-virus program you already have before installing it.

Norton (Symantec) is a nightmare to get rid of, You have to uninstall most of it manually and it puts a ton of files on your PC that have to be hunted down and manually deleted.

Yes! I've tried all the rest now moved to Norton 360 which not only has a built in repair program (like the earlier versions) but now also has a built-in live support where I can speak to a person in real time (kind of MSN chat)

however it can be a nightmare if it is a "borrowed" copy because then one can not get free support from Symantec.

here in malaysia we can find viruses in malay :raging:

usually if theres error messages you can relate it to 'virus'...

Most error messages aren't to do with viruses, they are usually just things that pop up when the computer doesn't understand what you are trying to do, or the computer can't do what you want it to do.

Good nerds= error messages
Evil nerds= Viruses

the problem is that this norton(internet security) was already there when i bought my laptop so i dont have a product key ......I think :?

wa alaikum Salam wa rahamt Allah wa barakat

you do not need the key to remove it, removal tool will remove all traces without problem within minutes (after a reboot) you can install a free version or a 90 day version from any company.

any problems post here or PM me and I'll gladly go through it (in real-time via MSN) with you.

it removed everything that had to with norton :ooh:
 
aww finally now everything is sorted and u have bitdefender :D
