Do not Marry 7 types of Women

1. Al-Annaanah:
The woman who whines, moans and complains and 'ties a band around her head' all the time (i.e. complains of a headache or some illness but in reality she is not sick, rather she is faking).

2. Al-Mannaanah:
The woman who bestows favours, gifts, etc. upon her husband then (at that time or the future) says; "I did such and such for you or on your behalf or because of you.

3. Al-Hannaanah:
The women who yearns or craves for her former husband or children of the former husband.

4. Kay'atul-Qafaa:
The women who has a brand mark on the nape of her neck (i.e. has a bad reputation or doubts about her).

5. Al-Haddaaqah:
The women who cast her eyes at things (i.e. always looking at something to purchase, then desires it and requires her husband to buy it (No Matter What).

6. Al-Barraaqah:
The women who spends much of her day enhancing her face and beautifying it to such an extent that it will seem like it was manufactured.

7. Al-Shaddaaqah:
The woman who talks excessively.

Taken from the Book: 'A Concise Manual of Marriage' by Shaykh Uthaymeen

WassalamuAlaykum :D :skeleton:

Oh God, the first two kinds I can't stand, ugh...

Interesting list though, hopefully I'm none of those....:X

Jazaki Allah khair for sharing.:thumbs_up

i generally cant stand people like that...let alone being married to one...

3. Al-Hannaanah:
The women who yearns or craves for her former husband or children of the former husband.
whys that though? i mean what if shes a widow and misses him or something :?

5. Al-Haddaaqah:
The women who cast her eyes at things (i.e. always looking at something to purchase, then desires it and requires her husband to buy it (No Matter What).
oh god no! brothers do NOT marry women like that at all...

6. Al-Barraaqah:
The women who spends much of her day enhancing her face and beautifying it to such an extent that it will seem like it was manufactured.
LOL ;D ;D ;D that bit made me laugh! :D hes got a point though...some women put on make up till the extent you cant tell what the original skin color is :skeleton:
its like forget the make-up remover women, get yourself a paint scarper already :p :skeleton:

jazakillahu khair for the share :)

7. Al-Shaddaaqah:
The woman who talks excessively

i don't know how the husband live with her
i think her voice jumps unto his dreams:skeleton: what a nightmare !!

jazake Allahu 5yran sister for sharing :)

6. Al-Barraaqah:
The women who spends much of her day enhancing her face and beautifying it to such an extent that it will seem like it was manufactured.

I cant imagine how some woman start wearing makeup from the moment they wake up in the morning :skeleton:

5. Al-Haddaaqah:
The women who cast her eyes at things (i.e. always looking at something to purchase, then desires it and requires her husband to buy it (No Matter What).

lol, and if he dont buy it to her, she is fine with leaving the home for a while to give him a lesson

Lol at number 7 :-[

I'll figure a cure one day insha'Allah.

BarakAllah feekum btw.

And Umm Shaheed, I dont know but maybe she keeps expressing her yearning before her current husband....and which husband would like that? Wallahu A'lam

WassalamuAlaykum

I agree except for the 3rd type:

3. Al-Hannaanah:
The women who yearns or craves for her former husband or children of the former husband.

What's wrong with a woman who misses the children of her former husband? You cannot expect a mother to forget her children!!!! Even if they weren't her children, what if she raised them and became attached to them? I don't think that makes her a bad wife!

Allahu A'lam, I said what I think it means above. There's a lecture on these 7 types, insha'Allah I'll try finding it for you.

I don't think it states miss them, rather crave, maybe obsessively. This may even be argued, isn't wrong - however it may mean they arn't ready for another marriage, so to say.

Kay'atul-Qafaa:
The women who has a brand mark on the nape of her neck (i.e. has a bad reputation or doubts about her).

I strongly disagree with this one unless it means that she really is a dodgy character. If she seems pious in everyway but has a bad past then who cares?

I sense some kind of anti-marriage campaign going on around here :><: First the 10 reasons not to marry and now this. Points 6 & 7 can rule out 95% of them :hiding:

Me, anti-marriage, come again?

DISCLAIMER: Marriage is beautiful, get married you singletons

But at number 6, I think ppl gotta realise that perfection is too high a standard and should never be expected from a spouse. Dont cake urself in the stuff....although you can beautify urself for him.

Number 7....dont forget that he needs to exercise his vocal cords once in a while too, otherwise they might get rusty :rollseyes :D

It must mean the former. If its in the past and she's mended her ways, then yeh who cares. But if its in the present then makes sense. Wallahu A'lam

:salamext:

I'd just like to point out that the above is not the words of shaykh 'Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah), rather it appears in the footnotes, and I believe it was added by the translator, Daawood Adeeb. I believe it's like an Arabic saying.

Wa iyyaaki.

You mean my user title? Mawaddah could be translated as love or affection in this context, na'am. Although it can also mean friendship. :)

Nice,

here are some hadits regarding marraige;

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "A woman is married for four things, i.e., her wealth, her family status, her beauty and her religion. So you should marry the religious woman (otherwise) you will be A losers.
Wedlock, Marriage (Nikaah) [62:27]

Tunkahul mar'atu li arba'in (a woman is married for 4 things): Li-Maaliha (for her wealth), wa li-hasabiha (her family status), wa li-jamaaliha (for her beauty), wa li-deeniha (for her religion). Fadh-far bi dhaatid deen (so you should marry the religious one) taribat yadaak ([otherwise] you will be losers)

A talkative spouse is bearable or even preferable for some. You can't put that category in the do not marry types list <_<

AsSalamOAlaikum WaRehmatuAllah WaBarkatuhu

Really did you say 95%
imsad Wow you such a lucky brother having found the the girl of your dreams in the 5% part.

I guess we all just have to be single a lot longer.

Its not an "anti-marriage campaign", rather we are still single and looking!!! :statisfie And taking advantage of being single!! :-[ Need a dua imsad
