the pain meds they give me put a huge amount of fog in my brain, making even the smallest effort extremely intellectual challenge. as long as i can, i will try to keep in touch.
this forum has meant a lot to me for a long time. you are one of the earliest members who i saw as a friend.

Apa ada perbedaan antara loghat Malaysia dan Brunei,
atau antara loghat Malaysia dengan Melayu Singapura ?

Is there any different between Malaysian and Brunei dialect,
or between Malaysian and Singapore Malay dialect ?

The standard language of Malay used officially in all these three countries are the same... but the dialects are different... there are so many dialects in Malaysia...

even in a very small island like Penang.. there are 3 dialects of Malay language ..

For example:

Twenty Cent (English)
Dua Puluh Sen (Standard Malaysian Language)
Dua Kupang (Northern Malaysian Dialect)
Dow Upang (Penangite Dialect - Georgetown area) - my dialect
Dua Kupiang (Penangite Dialect - Balik Pulau area)
Dow Kupang (Penangite Dialect - other areas in Penang Island)

* Penangite Dialect is a sub-dialect of Northern Malaysian Dialect
