You right, they are not Middle Easterner, but Mediteranians.

Maybe uncle Woodrow has forgot geography lesson because he passed from school at long time ago. He is a 69 yrs old Grandpa.

Depends on where you are. Mideast is the half way point from where a person is and the furthes possible east you can travel, before your are in the extreme west. Here on Earth that would be 12,000 miles either east or west from where you now stand. The mid east would be the point 6,000 mileseast from where you now stand. If you live in the USA that is going to place you almost smack in the middle of Italy.

But, in common usage the term Mideast does most often apply to the Arabian/Iranian regions.

But, here in the USA you will find many Italians who refer to themselves as being mideastern.

Thank you very much Uncle.:)

If I say "Maybe Uncle Woodrow has forgot Geography lesson because he passed from school at long time ago. He is a 69 yrs old Grandpa"
That's because bro Albani said "I guess this guys didnt pass the geography class lol"

I am not a native English speaker, and in my dictionary, guy is a young man.

No problem nephew. English especially American English is very confusing. We have many local slang definitions, so a dictionary is not always an accurate tool. But, the dictionary does give what the meaning is supposed to mean. Guy technacly is slang for young man. But, in various areas it is used for any person of any age and is more commonly becoming used as people in general.

But, you are correct it has been a long time since I took a geography class. However, I do try to keep up with my navigational skills, but for that I simply refer to the coordinates of a location rather then a specific name.

I think when the brother referred to these guys not passing geography, he wasnt referring to brother Woodrow....read again...:p

a great albanian poet wrote our national anthem!
we love him very much.

:thumbs_up
well is UK in asia or america?
or is it in europe?

lol

what i mean is you are part of europe how can u say i am not european?

I must say under the banner of patriotism that England is in the heart of the English, neither the government of today or Oliver Cromwell can ever make it different.:D The average Englishman does not acept that we need to be part of any european amalgamation. Its not being nationalist and English paople are of many different races, colours and religious background. So europe can keep their metric scales, left hand drives and euro's, we have pounds, ounces and a strong sense of remaining English inj the face of politicians who would have us part of some monetary union. OK rant over, at the end we belong to Allah and not a peice of earth. Allah please bring England to become a Muslim country. Ameen

Well, physically ... I cant find any differences between an average Italian and an average Lebanese... so Pasta is mideastern? :D

Nope. Pasta originated in China and was brought to Italy by Marco Polo

My nationality is from Canada which comes in the category “other”.
Brother Woodrow we are soon going to learn about Marco Polo because in my socials class we are on Chapter 8 Navigators and sea dogs, this chapter contains text that is a primary source and says a lot about silk traders and explorers. Heres a few words from the text that might help you people learn a thing or two about his personality: By the end of the thirteenth century, Marco Polo had written a book about his seventeen year stay in China. Europeans were so impressed by what Polo reported that trade with China and Japan became Europes routes controlled by rulers such as chingghis Khan and Tamerlane. Asian goods from Constantinople into the rest of Europe. Others in Europe resented the great profits Italian cities made on the spice trades, and they dreamed of finding another way to reach the riches of Asia.

From my perspective I think Marco Polo was the founder of many things which can include food items such as pasta because if he had not found a lot of things why would he write a book?

it's asiatic after all... LOL... Asia wins!!!:D

Have to agree with you. I do quite a bit of cooking and to be honest I can not find a single recipe that does not have at least part of it coming from an Asiatic dish.

EXCEPTION: The few genuine Native American recipes that I found. But, the Native Americans are also classified as Asiatic.

That could be used as a slur Asiatiac....

I for one have a lot of pride in my Asiatic ancestors (Lithuanian Tatars that originally came from Mongolia and China) and I am certain most Native Americans do also. It is a well established fact the Native Americans came to America over the land bridge that once existed between Asia and Alaska.

No, no, uncle. Pasta originated in Mideastern.
When Marco Polo was in China he saw a noodle, and that's gave him an idea to make a new kind of pasta, Spaghetti.
