no, never, women of childbearing age tend to be anemic anyway, I am not sure that cupping is a good idea least of which during pregnancy.. but I'd like to get this other heated cupping done for back pain...

has anyone here had it? is it Haram?

lol I am not pregnant.. I said, I don't think blood cupping is good for women of childbearing age because of loss of iron during menstruation and especially those who are pregnant, since their plasma volume goes up to accommodate blood supply to the fetus.. I am yet to see evidence for its benefits to women, unless they had a medical condition called Hemochromatosis and are post menopausal .. but that is my theoretical opinion..

Good to hear about the launch of British Cupping Society.

We are a group of hijama enthusiasts in Leicester running a blogsite on the subject: [removed]

Is there anyone from the Society who can discuss the possibility of doing a guest post on our blog discussing the background and achievements so far of the Society so we can inform our growing mailing list about this development.

JazakAllah

I've done cupping done, three times. It was done in a specialised clinic in Jakarta with trained staff and everything is hygienic and sterile.
The first time it drew pretty thick very dark blood (I am living in a big polluted city, and my past lifestyle must have contributed to all those toxins).
I felt pretty good afterwards, a bit light (maybe from the loss of blood), but definitely felt fresher.
I should do it regularly, like every month or so. I would definitely recommend it.
