While now many people are talking about boycotting China's product, I would like to invite brothers and sisters promoting products produced by only Muslim Companies so that we know that actually we can co-operate with each other in the term of business and trade. I regret when hearing my sisters talking about her experience when she worked in Saudi Arabia. She said that Saudi Arabia that we admired as the land of prophet and his companions too can't escape from Israelis product. Even they hired Catholic Filipino nurses and non-Muslim Western workers in their government hospital.

Where the blessings of G-d in the land of prophet (pbuh) and his companions will go to? They are used to oppress us! There are many other Muslims in Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Thailand, and other Muslims who may also coming from Western world applied, but where are they in Saudi hospitals. Even my sister said that a Finnish muslim sister who had just embracing Islam too was insulted for wearing Hijab while working in the hospital by a Catholic Filipino head nurse. Don't they realize that? My sister too received bad treatment while working in the hospital while she is a Muslim the same religion with the people of Saudi. I had experienced other Muslims like Bangladeshi workers in Saudi or other Saudis calling Muslim ladies from Malaysia as Siti Ra7ma (prostitutes) and looking down to us Muslims from SEA. They don't even know that we had valiantly defended Islam since our ancestors had abandoned Buddhism-Hinduims to embrace Islam around 8th C with the guidance from Allah!!! It's not surprising at all when Muslims are easily oppressed around the world when they have no sentiment at all to their religion!!!

I can be narrow-minded and some liberal thinking people can say to me that there are also Muslims in Israel or in China, might be they too involved in Israeli or Chinese factories, and actually I know few Chinese Muslim factories but we don't know whether they hired Communist workers as their government is Communist. Now, I want to ask them back, why are they co-operating with non-Muslims in crushing their own selves while many other countries with majority Muslim population can also work on themselves providing the services and products needed? Now let us trading information about the products that we know and maybe we can introduce them to other Muslims so that we do not be like what happened in Saudi and in my country.

INTRODUCTION

The company is established by Mr. Haji Ismail Ben Haji Ahmad who came from Mata Ayer Village in Perlis, Malaysia. The main objective of the company establishment is to expose about the traditional herbal and spices as the source of medicine to the publics and they could be the alternative treatment for society beside enhancing the quality of health, experiencing prosperity through health and enriching the life.

HPA industries enterprise is established by a farmer with vast experience in herbal field in Malaysia. He is Haji Ismail Ahmad and now the owner of the industries with the position of first management director. His vice management director is his wife, Hajjah Norhayati Bente Ahmad.

FACTORIES

HPA enterprise recently possessing few modern factories and herbal farms as wide as 500 acres to make sure that they have sufficient supplies of herbs.

The company's factory is located at B1 & B2, Lot 29, Jalan Industri, Kawasan Perindustrian Kuala Perlis, Perlis under the Malaysian Development Bank scheme. Other than that, another HPA's factory is operated in Lot 5 & 6, Kawasan MIEL Jejawi Fasa II, Jalan Jejawi Sematang, Perlis and at Lot 1 & 2, IKS KEDA Napoh, 06100 Jitra, Kedah. Other new factory is operated in Gandul, Jakarta, Indonesia. The workers of HPA factory now are more than 200 people.

In the earlier stage, the pharmaceutical industry of HPA only operated at the owner house. However, due to the diligence efforts shown by him, the bank had agreed to let him renting a building to operate the manufacturing of products. In the mean time, HPA had made an agreement with the National Pharmaceutical Bureau (BPFK) to get permission in the arrangement of factory plan. Finally, when the permission had been granted by the bureau, The Development Bank provided a loan in about RM 222, 000 for him to buy the processing machines and permitting him to build another additional block for HPA in the factory site.

In 11 September 1997, HPA factories were recognized with Good Management Practice (GMP) certificate by the Malaysian Ministry of Health. WIth the new status, HPA has the opportunities to market the products abroad.

HPA had bought 4 lots of factories with the value of 1.4 million in Jejawi Industrial area. It is 5 km away from Kangar, which is the capital of Perlis state. They can produce more products with the factories. The facilities in the factory is estimated about RM 2.6 million.

Before I forgot, what HPA means? HPA is from Herba Penawar Al-Wahida (Al-Wahida Curing Herbal).

Haji Ismail Ahmad who established the company is a graduate student of botanical agriculture science from Malaysian Agriculture University, Malaysia (UPM). He had once being an officer in Farmers Association Board and he also has the knowledge about herbals inherited from his grandfather, who was a herbal specialist in Perlis of Northern Malaysia.

The HPA company was established to support the necessity of Muslim community. HPA Industries Enterprise was established in July 15th (1st Ramadhan). In 1997, Al-Wahida Marketing was established under HPA Industries Enterprise. It became a sub-company which managing the marketing of the HPA products manufactured through Multi-Level Marketing. Few Muslim graduates too joined the company and they are from various fields such as accounting, economy, computer science, agriculture, business management and others. All 200 workers of HPA are Muslims and HPA has actually providing the source of incomes to 200 workers family member. It is the only Muslim MLM company owned by Muslim and had going through 10 years till now. HPA Industries too own factories both in Kedah and Perlis.

The products manufactured received health recognition from the Ministry of Health in Malaysia. Those products passed the inspection of National Pharmaceutical Control Bureau which is under the Ministry of Health. They passed all 4 tests which are the microbe test, steroid test, heavy iron test, and dissolving test.

The factories of HPA is awarded with the "Good Management Practice" recognition by the National Pharmaceutical Control Bureau, the Ministry of Health. The quality control is ensured and strict hygiene of the products is assured.

The company too manufacturing products based from Sharia. The products are clean, effective, and touched only by Muslims as the workers involved in the process are all Muslims. The herbal products too do not leave any side effects and they can be used by kids above one year old. All of the workers are obliged to perform wudhu' before entering the factory and before starting their work. Every morning (around 10.00 a.m), the workers will have to pray Dhuha in congregation followed by simple Tazkira. Marketing plan is ensured as not opposing the Shara'. It is checked and referred to the Ulamas and ensured as just, without doubt, and without any trap. It is also recognized as the Sharia based MLM by Indonesian Muslim Consultation Bureau. HPA reject Riba' and the company do not make any loan from any conventional financial institution. Ingredients, capsules, and gels used are ensured as 100% Halal. They are manufactured by Halal Gel Enterprise. All of HPA products are certified by HALAL CERTIFICATE from the Department of Islamic Development in Malaysia. Every month, HPA will donate half of the benefit gained by the company to madrasah, tahfiz schools, and orphanage.

HPA too introduced the JAWI medicational concept. It is an approach based from the source of Ilahiyya and Alamiyya (Herbal). HPA is own an institution for education and research which is known as "JAWI Medicinal Research Center" to train their own traditional herbal medicine practitioners. HPA is not only manufacturing herbal products, but also providing courses on treating diseases such as al-Hijama Bekam*, acupuncture, reflexology massage, chiropractic, and limphatic massage.

The owner of the company is a Muslim Egyptian lady if I'm not mistaken, she's not a native but since she's a Muslim, no problem, we can at least guarantee it is safe and halal to consume. A Stroke of Fortune

Looking to blow a million, SFSB immediately recognized the intrinsic benefits rice consumers would derive with "Ponni" rice in their diet. Today under the brand name Taj Mahal, Ponni rice has been distributed throughout Malaysia.

Infrastructure & Technology

SFSB has a solid infrastructure of rice productions and distributions. The production plant is built on a total land area of 40,000 sq. feet, comprise of high-tech equipment for rice processing and packaging, which can have a total production capacity of 200 metric tons per day, that is integrated with De-stoners, Polishers, Graders, and finally through Color-Sorters and Packaging. At once the warehouse storage capacity is about 2000 metric tons.

On the other hand, SFSB also has it own fleet of trucks and cars to handle distributions and sales services. With 25 units of lorries of multiple capacity and 15 units of salesman cars, SFSB is ready to provide quality delivering and services to the customers all over Malaysia. We have set a goal, that the delivery must reach the customers within 3 days from order date for Johor perimeter and not exceeding 5 days for other territory. The maximum capacity of delivering is about 250 metric tons per day.

If it is the things favored by someone, the age is not the boundary for the success. This is proved by the owner of Faiza Rice Supplier Company, Faiza Bawumi Sayyed Ahmad.

When most of the women at her age are resting at home, Faiza is busy planning the strategies to strengthen the position of her rice business in this country. Faiza not only being the company affairs' director, but she is also working hard in ensuring that the operation of the company being executed well.

This lady is involved in the factory project owned by Faiza Marketing Enterprise evaluated RM14 million in Sri Gading, Batu Pahat. The factory will be build in the near future, said Faiza Bawumi to Utusan Malaysia. The spirit of business in this lady who was originated from Egypt had been in herself since her childhood time as her father was an owner of a restaurant.

She never thought that her experience as a cashier for her father's restaurant determines her to be serious in business. According to Faiza, her success today is not easily gained but she has to go through hardships and challenges and now she had been in the business for 43 years.

Faiza came to Malaysia in 1964 following her husband. She can't just stay at home doing nothing, so she made some money through sewing and cross-titches beside selling kitchen goods. Faiza then made spices for curry and packing the spices in packages with the brand Bunga Raya (Hibiscus). She sends her products to the shops.

“Before I sell rice, I have to go to every house and asking them whether they want to buy the rice if I sell it," she said. She also have to get the liaison as a wholesaler. She sells various kinds of rice including Ponni (South India), Basmathi (Pakistan), Fragrant Rice, and Thai Sticky Rice.

In 9 years, the rice business of her company received warm attentions by the buyers rather than only known in Johore before. The rice with Faiza brand too expanded the wings in Malacca and Kuala Lumpur.

I have tried several Brahim's premix like rendang, honey chicken, etc but nothing to shout about. But I would recommend Brahim's fish curry as shown below. Brahim's is looking forward for UAE markets and regional markets

DUBAI, 25 Feb (Bernama) -- Dewina Food Industries Sdn Bhd, the manufacturer of food with the brand, "Brahim's", recently is seeking opportunities in UAE and gradually trying to market the products in other gulf countries and African continent.

The company feels that this the suitable time to penetrate the market in the gulf region, said Mohammad Fazil Othman, the marketing manager of Dewina Trading Enterprise, who took part in the food and beverages exhibition of Gulfood in 2009.

"We are also searching for suitable business partners to be the suppliers of our products in Dubai, Gulf countries, North Africa and other parts of Africa," he further said to Bernama.

Mohammad Fazil too said that Dewina Trading is trying to penetrate the market and saying that it will be no problem for them if the customers wanted to make small purchase of the products of Brahim's brand.

"Say that if a customer made a purchase of 200 carton, that is considered as good enough. But, we will be more than glad if they purchase a contenna or more than that.

He said that, "The important step for us is to get the way into the market in the region."Langkah paling penting bagi kita ialah mendapatkan kemasukan ke pasaran ini," kata beliau di sini.

Mohamad Fazil said that Dubai and UAE is the ideal places for them to start business because most of the Gulf countries fully depend on foreign work force and those people have not enough time to cook for themselves.

"Many of them had brought their wives or their family. The goods here could be quite expensive. That is the reason that we feel there is a special market place for our products." He also said that Brahim's products will be introduced in the form of gravy heated and ready to be served.

"Brahim's representing a good alternative because our products are delicious and involving the simple preparation and only taking short time to be served. It is very convenient." Mohammad further said.

About 46 companies from Malaysia and Government agencies joined the exhibition and they were supported by the Malaysian Foreign Trade Development Board for Gulfood 2009 which will end tomorrow.
