Official Decision and Announcement of the High Judiciary Council of Saudi Arabia...
Just a short time ago, Fatwa-Online was informed of the official decision and announcement of the High Judiciary Council (HJC) of Saudi Arabia that since the moon of Ramadhaan was not sighted this evening, here in Saudi Arabia, we shall be completing thirty (30) days of Sha'baan (1430 A.H.), in accordance with the hadeeth of the Messenger of Allaah (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam):
((Fast when you see the crescent. If it is obscured to you, then complete thirty days of Sha'baan. And break your fast when you see the crescent. If it is obscured to you then fast thirty days)), [transmitted by al-Bukhaaree and Muslim].
Subsequently, we shall be starting our taraaweeh prayers tomorrow evening (Friday 21 August 2009) after the 'Ishaa. prayer, in preparation for the first fast of Ramadhaan on Saturday 22 August 2009, inshaa.-Allaah.
They delayed the Isha adhaan in Madeenah by like 30 mins... And took longer than usual between adhaan and iqaamah too.
Ah, excitement's reallyyy building up!
Ah man..it's less than 24 hours away. Anticipation building up..!
What time (est) would they have Taraweeh and where can I catch it?

i dunno GMT, sorry. But Isha starts at around 8:25pm Makkah Time^ Ukht, any idea what time Ishaa salaah is (GMT)?
I think Islam Channel broadcasts it, if you in the UK, but I usually listen on Channel Islam International or Saudi Quran Radio < both those are radio links for Makkah Taraweeh. To watch, I guess you could check out the links here or go to www.islambox.tv and watch via Iqraa, Saudi TV 1 (Makkah) or Saudi TV 2 (Madeenah) and you should find links to watch live on www.haramainrecordings.com
Akhee, I'm guessing you already know all this, you've been on IB for ages now!
