You and your mum are my heros, Tony! :D

I am having a frugal phase - so nothing gets wasted in my house. (Bring back the fifties, I say! :))

What is wrong with the pudding glo put? That is how it is supposed to look like :P I could never do it because we don’t have many of the berries here. Don’t mind them sis glo they are jealous they can’t do it. ;D

These are what I had for iftar last night in a food court in a mall in Jakarta (I took these pics myself):

this is what we call "Gado-gado" (literally means "mix of things"), which is mix of softboiled eggs, steamed vegetables (spinach, beansprouts, cabbages, potatoes, long beans), fresh veggies (cucumber), steamed tofu, and poured with cooked peanut sauce (made of toasted peanuts, sweet thickened soy sauce, garlic, shallots, palm sugar, coconut milk, lime leaves, lemongrass), then topped with fried shallots and fried prawn crackers and "belinjo" crackers.

This is "Soto Ayam", a very nourishing chicken noodle soup.
It is made of: boiled chicken with lemon grass and lime leaves, soft boiled eggs, glass noodles, mashed fried shrimps, grain peppers, garlic, shallots, powdered galangal, turmeric (which causes the yellow color), shallots stalks, lemongrass, ginger, lime.

Soto ayam and gado-gado are among the most popular Indonesian food, and they are my favourites too! :)
