It seems like the typical censorship you usually find in places like Pakistan. I believe a few years ago they blocked YouTube for awhile because it hosted videos critical of their president what's his name. It doesn't even seem like they'll keep their ban on facebook permanent.

Well facebook ban was due to contest on facebook
but Youtube ban is for alot of reasons one of them is Political
yes Political reasons alot abusing videos of some Political figures were made and uploaded on Youtube

Assalamualaikum

Totally agree...those are sick people...just ignore them. All they want is to spread hatred and create violence....so that later on they can say "see !! we told you......"

I too think it is good to ignore.:hmm:

Personally I think Muslims should ignore it. It is us (Muslims) that is not meant to draw Mohammed (pbuh). All over the internet negative and offence things have been written about our prophet so this is nothing new.

Even when Mohammed (pbuh) was alive, there were many people that insulted him in front of him and behind his back. And he did nothing but concentrated on our religion. I think our energy should be spent on bettering yourself and our countries (because there is a lot that need sorting).

Also I think them calling Jesus (pbuh) son of god is far more offensive then a picture of Mohamed. He is our prophet too. And they drew his pictures and did offensive joke on him.

The only reason why there are doing this is because the reaction towards the fascist newspapers in 2005. You do know that they reprinted the picture again in Danish newspaper and many countries followed due to our reaction and some violent reactions.

I just think we should ignore them. This is my opinion and I will ignore them. And it is not facebook fault that group of idiots decided to create a group and number of people joined it is? And there are far more offensive groups insulting our religion on facebook.

And Pakistani needs to sort out their own country. There are known to have several human right abuse against Muslim and non Muslim that live in their country.

Assalamualaikum

I am wondering how you people are giving you personal comments on this sensitive matter of our Prophet s.a.w Dignity. would you also bear or permit a person, who without any reason, start distributing poster or fake pictures of your Pious Father & mother, showing they are doing adultery or without clothes pictures and that person is also going to place these picture on big hoarding in Your city and infront of your door . what will you do with that person, Will you also ignore him ?.
I am sorry, my aim is not to offend any one. just to realize the situation.

Hadith - Bukhari 1:13, Narrated Abu Huraira
Allah's Apostle said, "By Him in Whose Hands my life is, none of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father and his children."

Insulting the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is one of the worst of forbidden actions, and it constitutes kufr and apostasy from Islam, according to scholarly consensus, whether done seriously or in jest. The one who does that is to be executed even if he repents and whether he is a Muslim or a kaafir. If he repents sincerely and regrets what he has done, this repentance will benefit him on the Day of Resurrection and Allaah will forgive him.

If it is said, “Can we not forgive him, because during his lifetime the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forgave many of those who had insulted him and he did not execute them?” The answer is:

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) sometimes chose to forgive those who had insulted him, and sometimes he ordered that they should be executed, if that served a greater purpose. But now his forgiveness is impossible because he is dead, so the execution of the one who insults him remains the right of Allaah, His Messenger and the believers, and the one who deserves to be executed cannot be let off, so the punishment must be carried out.

Ibn Tamayyah, Al-Saarim al-Maslool, 2/438

The scholars are unanimously agreed that a Muslim who insults the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) becomes a kaafir and an apostate who is to be executed. This consensus was narrated by more than one of the scholars, such as Imaam Ishaaq ibn Raahawayh, Ibn al-Mundhir, al-Qaadi ‘Iyaad, al-Khattaabi and others. Al-Saarim al-Maslool, 2/13-16

This ruling is indicated by the Qur’aan and Sunnah.

In the Qur’aan it says (interpretation of the meaning):

“The hypocrites fear lest a Soorah (chapter of the Qur’aan) should be revealed about them, showing them what is in their hearts. Say: ‘(Go ahead and) mock! But certainly Allaah will bring to light all that you fear.’

If you ask them (about this), they declare: ‘We were only talking idly and joking.’ Say: ‘Was it at Allaah, and His Ayaat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and His Messenger that you were mocking?’

Make no excuse; you disbelieved after you had believed”

[al-Tawbah 9:64-66]

This verse clearly states that mocking Allaah, His verses and His Messenger constitutes kufr, so that applies even more so to insulting. The verse also indicates that whoever belittles the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is also a kaafir, whether he was serious or joking.

With regard to the Sunnah, Abu Dawood (4362) narrated from ‘Ali that a Jewish woman used to insult the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and say bad things about him, so a man strangled her until she died, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) ruled that no blood money was due in this case.

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah said in al-Saarim al-Maslool (1/162): This hadeeth is jayyid, and there is a corroborating report in the hadeeth of Ibn ‘Abbaas.

And Allaah knows best. May Allaah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad and all his family and companions.

It seems like the typical manure peddled by degenerates who are unrestrained by common decency or morality.. I think manure gets along well with manure but there is no reason to subject benevolence to frank maleficence under some embellished guise!

It doesn't seem like the guise will last for long, things built upon crap usually fall apart sooner or later!

all the best

We are not talking about “Muslims” insulting our prophet but it is non Muslims! If we scream and shout what is it going to achieve us? We tried that with the newspaper instead all newspaper around the world decided to print the picture with exception of few. The Quran says it is forbidden for us to draw him (pbuh).
Do you think is okay for Muslims to sink low and be violent over such things? Over 100 people died during protest all over the world. Has it stop them insulting our prophet? No! They just continued. They insult Jesus by calling him the son of God and draw but yet I don’t hear Muslims making such noise about it?
Nothing we do will stop them. We can scream and shout as much as we want, they don’t believe in our Prophet and that is also an insult on us.
Just look how low some Muslims went over this incident: there is a facebook group called Everybody draw Holocaust day (30 June 2010) created by Muslims. Disgusting...and you are telling me this is the way to go?

The best solution is to ignore them and will eventually be bored. If someone was to draw my mother and I would still ignore them.

And Pakistani needs to sort out their own country. There are known to have several human right abuse against Muslim and non Muslim that live in their country.

That quote still stands. They are bit of hypocrites and the non Muslims will point this out. How can they talk about a drawing of a picture but think it completely okay to treat their own citizen the way they do. Do you think Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) himself would congratulate them on the way they run their own country?
Also what is your solution to this problem (the drawing day)?

the best thing muslims can do is stop supporting any site that says anything bad about our prophet (saw) and abuse him that is if the site owners dont do anything about it then muslims should think twice about using such a site. its very sad to see muslims very laid back about the situation. i just want to say WAKE UP. we will be asked about every single thing on the day of judgment.

Alhumdolillah im not even on facebook n never was , even aftre many mates n friends asked me to join it , just didnt see no good coming out o fit , social networking! thank u i dont neeed to, im good.

I find it hard to believe that Muslims make up 47.5% of Facebook's profit. Where are the direct sources for that? I'm not finding anything in the unspecified sources listed.

I agree.
The numbers look very dodgy.
I am all for boycotting Facebook and I did my share, but we should not spread lies.
