68 killed in suicide bomb blast in Pakistan

Two explosions struck a paramilitary training centre in northwestern Pakistan on Friday, killing at least 68 people - nearly all recruits - in the bloodiest attack in the country since the US raid killed Al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden.

A suicide bomber detonated at least one of the blasts in the Shabqadar area of Charsadda district, police said.

Dozens of people also were wounded when the explosions went off at a main gate of the Frontier Constabulary training site, police official Nisar Khan said.

Many recruits were boarding vehicles to go home for a short break at the end of a recent training session.

No group immediately claimed responsibility. But militants have pledged to avenge bin Laden's May 2 killing, and many have been expecting reprisal strikes on Pakistani territory.

HABQADAR, Pakistan – A pair of Taliban suicide bombers attacked paramilitary police recruits eagerly heading home for a break after months of training, killing 80 people Friday in the first act of retaliation for the U.S. raid that killed Osama bin Laden.

In claiming responsibility, the al-Qaida linked militant group cited anger at Pakistan's military for failing to stop the American incursion on their soil.

The blasts in the northwest were a reminder of the savagery of Islamist insurgents in Pakistan. Tensions also have risen between the U.S. and Islamabad over allegations that some elements of Pakistani security forces had been harboring bin Laden, who died in a May 2 raid in Abbottabad, a garrison town about three hours' drive from the scene of the bombing.

So when the truth is unknown, it's better not to engage in speculation, for only Allah knows the truth of all affairs. We might be doing harm to ourselves if we say things that are untrue, support things that are untrue and speak without knowledge regarding the whole picture.

Many practicing Muslims turn a blind eye on the atrocities committed by people claiming to embrace Islam.

Usually not understanding the difference from having a religion by tradition verses faith. Many Christians have
the religion by tradition verses faith. The same is true in Islam. You have at least five Masjid in a two mile radius
with the cultural and tribal make-up of the members.

How many can explain the The Pillars of Islam (arkan al-Islam), Iman (Articles of Faith) or Aqīdah (Islamic theology)?

You are naive if you think that tribalism and cultural interests are not promoted by many before
applying Islam. The cultures of countries are promoted before Islam.

A practicing Muslims Taqwa and Iman prevents them from intentionally lying and misappropriating the facts
knowing it will not weigh in our favor on Yawm al-Qiyāmah ( يوم القيامة‎ end of time)

The killing of innocent women, children, elderly and non combatants will have to be answered to Allah no matter

Not sure if these type of people straight out say killing innocents is ok. They have their own way of justifying it, which probably does involve twisting the words of the Holy Quran. Maybe they kill civilians and justify it by saying "they aren't innocent if they are paying taxes to support troops who kill us" or something.
