I dont know why but these remind me of Hindu and Sikh Temples. The pillars and their arrangements.

Really? :hmm: To me, it looked amazing... But each to their own.

Ancient Islamic architecture is very distinct and pure handiwork of skilled workers.

Very true, but nowadays, s'all about technology and getting it finished quickly.

Modern machines have ruined the exquisiteness and intricacies of architecture I must say.

Yep, yep, yep.

Unfortunately, I didn't learn about the Masjid as much as I should have when I went there, but Insha'Allaah next time I will definitely do in-depth research and get back to you.

I'm sure there were skilled craftmanships that went into the making of it... I will get back to you on it, OK? :)

I think that it looks so immaculate and perfect and almost unused.. can evoke that feeling of not being a mosque that it is more a beautiful work of architecture.

Gorgeous picture. Maybe there are leprechaun mermaids. Now, that would be a neat picture.

Especially so with a pot of gold.. Jazaka Allah khyran for the encouragement.. sometimes I wonder if there's a gentle or even heavy rain in paradise.. I so love the gray and the water.. it makes for an amazing contrast..

There is always a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!!! You just got to keep looking! But don't trust the leprechauns, they will mislead you... :p

:D

(Apologies to y'all for being off topic, but had to write that! :p)

I have built a bird house and modified natural gourds as homes for purple martins (PM). They migrate to North America from South America in the spring to nest. Beginning with the native Americans before the Europeans came, the PM have become dependent upon humans for their housing. They keep me company with their constant chatter and song while I work in the garden.

Purple martin eggs.

Freshly hatched PM babies.
