^ May Allaah grant Shaykh Anwar Al Awlaki a high rank in Jannat Ul Firdous, Ameen (Say Ameen).
His lectures have inspired me a lot and helped get through difficult times.

There are many books you can read on the subject sister, but here's a very VERY VERY VERY brief version pertaining somewhat loosely to your question - this is my opinion btw, but it is based on the opinions of others who have written books on the subject:

Mahdi will be recognised at the age of around 40 yrs, he will rule for 7 years, and he will be spotted first between Medina and Makkah. The abdaals will know who he is - even tho he doesnt suspect himself of being the mahdi. When Mahdi reaches the kaaba, the abdaals will force him to take bayaah from them. The Mahdi will refuse but after a night of some contemplation - something will happen, his heart and soul will be purified and he will be ready to take the bayaah from the abdaals. And he will march on forth, towards Jerusalem. At the gate of Lud, Isa AS will descend, and Isa AS will pray salah behind Mahdi AS - then the army will march out to meet dajjal and his army, and the breath of Isa AS will kill the dajjal... the khalifa will be re-established and then the years of peace will follow, in that time, Mahdi AS will die and Isa bin Maryam AS will rule over the Khalifa...

...Allah knows best.

1. The Abdaals will know him later, after an army is swallowed by the earth.

And Ibn Abi Shaybah, Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Abu Ya'la and at-Tabarani in al-Kabir, from Umm
Salamah [radhiyallahu 'anha] from the Prophet [sallallahu 'alayhi wa-sallam] that he said:
"There will be conflict with the death of a khalifah. Then a man from the people of al-Madinah will come
out, fleeing to Makkah. A group of men from the people of Makkah will come to him and bring him out by
force, and give the bay'ah to him between ar-Rukn and al-Maqam. An army will be sent against him from
ash-Sham, but they will be swallowed up by the earth al-Bayda' between Makkah and al-Madinah. So when
the people see that, al-Abdal [the great righteous men] of ash-Sham and al-'Asa'ib [the groups] of the
people of al-'Iraq will come to him, and give him the bay'ah between ar-Rukn and al-Maqam.
Then a man
from Quraysh and his maternal relatives from Kalb will come and send an army against them, and they [i.e.
the Mahdi's men] will be victorious over them. That will be the battle of Kalb, and what a loss for the one
who did not witness the spoils of Kalb! So he [i.e. the Mahdi] will distribute the wealth, and he will rule the
people according to the Sunnah of their Prophet, and al-Islam will spread throughout the earth. He will
remain for seven years, then he will die and the Muslims will pray over him."
Abu Dawud said: "Some of them narrated from Hisham "nine years", and some of them said "seven
years"."

2. Its ridiculous to claim the Mahdi will not know himself when people who are around him exactly know his name and surname aslo the name of his mother which are not told in hadtihs.

Ibn Masood said:
"When commerce and roads are blocked and trials increase,
seven knowledgeable people will come
from different directions without previous appointment.
Each will receive the allegiance of over three hundred men
until they meet in Mecca.
The seven will meet and asked one another;
'What brought you here?'
They will reply:
'In Search of the man upon whose hand the trials will be calmed,
and for whom Constantinople will be opened.
We know him by his name, his father's name, his mother's name, and his army.'
So the seven will agree upon this and search for him then find him in Mecca.
So they will ask him:
'Are you so and so, son of so and so?'
He will reply:
'No, I am a man from the supporters.'
And escape from them, so they will describe him to people in their midst
that are both righteous and knowledgeable and it will be said to them:
'The one whom you seek was in your company,
and he will go to Al Medina.'

So they will search for him in Al Medina
but at that time he will be in Mecca.
So they will search for him in Mecca and say to him:
'You are so and so, son of so and so,
and your mother is so and so, daughter of so and so,
and in you are the signs of such and such, and such and such.
You escaped from us once so stretch out your hands
and we will pledge our allegiance to you.'
So he will say:
'I am not your companion.'
Then he will escape from them so they will search for him
in Al Medina when he has returned to Mecca,
then they will find him in Mecca beside Al Rukn and say to him:
'Our sins will be upon you and our blood upon your neck
if you do not stretch out your hand so that we may pledge our allegiance!
The army of As-Sufyani is coming demanding us in which there is a man from Jurm.
So he will sit between Al Rukn and Al Makam and stretch out his hand
and allegiance will be pledged to him.
So, Allah will sow love of him in the chests of the people
and he will lead a nation
that are lions during the day and worshippers at night."

He will appear with the banner Uqab which is kept in Istanbul. When he appears in Mecca with the banner Uqab, then its obvious he knows himself being the mahdi. Are you telling fairytales?

And Nu'aym also narrated from Abu Ja'far that he said:
"Then the Mahdi will appear in Makkah at the 'Isha' prayer, carrying with him the banner of the Messenger
of Allah [sallallahu 'alayhi wa-sallam],
his cloak and his sword, and with clear signs, light, and proofs.

The promised Mahdi will be among my family. God will make the provisions for his emergence within a single night.
(Ibn Majah, Sahih, Vol. 2, P. 519)

explain that?

no? ok lets try again:
"The world will not pass away before the Arabs are ruled by a man (referring to Mahdi) of my family whose name will be the same as mine" (Sunan Abu Dawud).

However, many people in the past falsely claimed to be Imam Mahdi. One of these false claimants was Muhammad bin Tumarat, a tyrant who spread corruption and even buried some of his companions because they did not believe that he was the Mahdi described by the Ahaadith of Rasulullah
saw23X22-1.gif
Some believe it was Muhammad bin Al-Sakari who disappeared at the age of five and went into hiding and has been hiding 10 centuries. Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Qadiani (the cursed) was also one of those who claimed to be the Mahdi as well as many other people. Beside those mentioned there were many others who claimed the office of Mahdi, the most recent being somebody from Manchester who claimed the position for himself. It should be noted that none of the above or anybody else who claimed to be the Mahdi in the past fulfilled the conditions laid down by the Prophet
saw23X22-1.gif

Some of the signs which will precede Imam Mahdi are as follows, so that we Muslims are not mislead to believe in somebody claiming to be the Mahdi who in reality is a blatant liar.
ok let's try again, judging by the false self appointed candidates, we can clearly see that these men beleived they were the mahdi and even propagated as such.

The real mahdi will not allow himself to entertain such vain thoughts bro. You have to remember, he is from the lineage of Prophet pbuh and also the best example of Muslim in the world when he will be here, recognised.

Let's take a look at the line:
The promised Mahdi will be among my family. God will make the provisions for his emergence within a single night. (Ibn Majah, Sahih, Vol. 2, P. 519)

To think, if God will make provisions for his (mahdi's) emergence in a single night. What could that mean? It's very simple, we have accounts of how the Mahdi will reach the rukn and the abdaals will offer him bayyat. But He'll refuse it. Then he will be given the opportunuty to reflect, overnight, and in that time - he will be prepared, as per above hadeeth... Why does he refuse the bayyat initally?

Just use your common sense bro.

Ah so it was your interpretation of these hadith. You put to much things into it.This hadith doesnt describe the Mahdi will not know himself being the mahdi. You made a fairy story about it.

You dont even know that the 313 are no abdals who are the first ones who will give the mahdi bayyah.
The abdals will give him bayyah after the sufyani sends an army against the mahdi, they will swallowed by the earth. When the abdals see that only then they will recognize the mahdi and will give him bayyah.

like I said before in my first post on the previous page the Mahdi appears with the banner uqab in makkah. This banner is kept in Istanbul and is not even on show for the public. To recieve this banner he had to be also very known which is described in the hadith I post on the previous page.

By the way why you have accused me that I put worth in your mouth which you have not said?

I'm not disagreeing with what you have said in the above post, but in no way does it conflict with what I have said already ^o)

And yes, I made a numerical error with the 313 abdaals, it is 40.

I have qoute it again for you and I will not tell one issue 3 times.

As you see the 313 knows his identity, a group of people have more knowledge of his identity and directing the 313 to him. He is carrying the banner uqab with him, its obvious he knows himself.

This banner is not on show for the public. Its forbidden to bring out Historical relics in turkey. Make a google search there is only one pic from this banner. to recieve this banner he had to be also very known in turkey.

"One Selim will come and recieve the holly relics and one last Selim will come in the endtimes and will give the holly relics to Imam al Mahdi"
hadith

youtube /watch?v=0pe8CkTg9P4 the dresses for the sultan selim IV

the transfer will take place most higly in turkey. So the mahdi is very known by other people before he appears in Mekkah, so you are total wrong with your abouve story.

This is a really embarrassing thread. Somebody please delete it. I'd like to see this.
