When I see sisters who don't wear hijab I don't understand it but I don't judge them. Allah(swt) knows best the good and bad points of each person. I would like to advise some of my friends who don't wear it but I don't know how to mention it in a way that doesn't come across as criticism, or as if I think I'm better than than them, which I don't. Any advice?
There is no need to be direct my beloved and precious sister; you just come from another way..like: expressing your love for your hijab and how much you feel happy and secure wearing it; how much it is dear to ya and how you felt the first time wearing it and how you feel wearing it now...
you can start with the phrase: Do you know what I do love the most as a muslim woman (you mention what you love about Islam and hijab will be from those things)...
it is not to stop advising others but to know how to do so in the best manners...every single person has his/her own key; you just need to find that key; unlocking doors; showing beauty in a very polite, nice and simple way ; addressing others minds and of course according the law of Allah.
The thing is, some sisters have directly asked me questions like: 'I'm sick of people criticising me for not wearing hijab. Do you think it matters that I don't wear it?'
and you tell her: it is not for a one who believes in Allah ; reciting His Noble book and living according its laws to criticise others and be harsh with them but to have the manners which Allah brought us upon which is kindness , justice and respect. and yes my sweetheart, it does matter cause this is the law of The Most Merciful and of course if there was no use , great goal and wisdom behind that ruling then we wouldn't be obliged to adhere to...and none on earth has the right to force ya to do it; this is between Your Creator and you and they only have the right to remind ya in a good nice way and even pray for ya...and about hijab; then you can try to have it on gradually till you are used to it and I asure ya my love that you will love it cause with time; it will get to be a precious part of ya and will be so hard giving it up...
and you can do it your way but only need to know how to treat others and nothing like the teachings of The Most Perfect Who knows all of His slaves and servants.
and Allah knows the best.
