An Economist beautifully explained two reasons for having 2 wives.
A- Monopoly should be broken.
B- Competition improves the quality of service.
If u have 1 wife, She fights with u!
If u have 2 wives, They will fight for u!

Remember when When the jelousy of Mothers of the believers Aisha(RA) and Hafsa(RA) got to the point where they bullied Mohammad(SAW) into promising not to eat Honey as Zaynab(RA) was using it to please Mohammad(SAW). O yes, the Muslims know who the real victim was LOL.

Of course Allah Most High intervened after which he started to have honey again.
"O prophet! Why holdest thou to be forbidden that which Allah has made lawful to thee? Thou seekest to please thy consorts. But Allah is oft-forgiving, most merciful. (Chapter 66; verse 1)"
